I was a bit worried at first as this dress fits snug and looks very tiny on the hanger. But, the 4 fit and the linen is blended with a stretch material that makes it very forgiving and COMFORTABLE. I wore this to the Kentucky Derby and it was perfect! I had this on for 12 hours and was walking, sitting, standing, doing stairs all day long. The ruching hides any little flaws and the dress stays put. I was able to wear my normal underwear and bra with it! The color is beautiful and I got many compliments all day long. I am returning today and have already found the dress on another site for sale, and am buying it to keep!

I wore this for my husband's company holiday dinner. The 2 fit but was tight in the arms and waist -- there is NO stretch in this dress at all. Since I would be sitting and eating, I opted for the 4 and it was the perfect compromise between fit and movement. I did have to put some tape inside at the bottom of the boning in front so it didn't dig into my waist while sitting, but it worked like a charm. TONS of compliments and a great pattern for a holiday party. It's really different but festive. The material is a bit satiny, so I went with silver jewelry and blue and silver shoes, which matched the blue perfectly. I'm only 5'1" so the dress hit me just above the knee which was just right. My only complaint is that the boning in the bodice was a bit uncomfortable. The lining is a bit thin, so you can feel the top and bottom edges through the fabric.

I rented this for a James Bond themed Halloween dinner, so the tux styling fit the event perfectly. I rented a 2R and 4R and ended up wearing the 4R as the 2 was just a tiny bit tight in the bust. Both were VERY long. I'm just 5'1", so I anticipated that, but still had to wear crazy high platform Louboutins with it (like six inches!) . There is a lovely train effect, so I did still need to pick the dress up in back when I walked outside. The slit is high but not scandalously so, and the ruffle allows it to hang closed when standing. I was able to go without a bra as the top was tight enough, but it is pretty low cut in the middle, so be aware if this bothers you. This would be a great dress for any black tie affair.

This was the backup dress I rented for a fundraising gala dinner and I ended up wearing it when my first choice looked too casual. This dress is adorable and FUN! The fabric has a little sheen to it and the pattern is subtle and modern. The skirt really keeps its flare, even after sitting. The top is a bit tight, but I do have a very full bust. However, that did allow me to wear it without a bra with no problem, so I won't complain too much! OH and the pockets were SO nice to have. Perfect for the occasion.

I wore this to a cocktail fundraiser for a local animal charity and it was just the right amount of dressy. The 2 fit great but was quite a bit shorter than the 4, so I ended up wearing the 4. I am only 5'1" and the size 2 hit mid thigh and the 4 was just above my knee. The fabric is pretty stretchy and the dress was super comfortable all evening and even for the 45 minute drive there and back. I was able to wear a regular (nude) bra and undies, too! I have a classic hourglass figure and this hugged my curves without being too tight. LOVED this dress!

This was fun and flirty for my husband's holiday office party. More than one person said the pattern made them think of Christmas tree lights! It's comfortable to wear, but very lightweight. We were inside so it was fine, but the skirt could easily flip about in wind and would be cold in anything but warm weather. The pockets were great! Big enough to hold my phone and lipstick all night. This was my backup dress so I only had one size option, and it was a tiny bit big. I have a large bust but was still pulling the top up all night. It also is a little minimizing in the top, which I didn't mind, but if you don't want to look flat-chested, you may need to get creative with undergarments or find a different dress. Overall I would rent it again, but probably in a 2.

I ordered both the 2 and the 4, and the 2 fit fine except for the shoulders and sleeves. I do NOT have large or muscular arms by any stretch, but I couldn't lift my arms once I got into the sleeves (with the help of the zippers at the wrists) in the size 2. The 4 fit better up top, but the rest was too big and the length was definitely too long for someone 5'1". It just didn't work out for me at all. Wore the backup dress.

This dress is gorgeous, elegant and true to size except in the length. I'm just 5'1", and while I was skeptical that I truly needed the regular length, I rented the 2P and the 2R as my backup size based on the other reviews. I'm SO glad I did! I tried on the 2P first and could have worn it with flats it was so short! I ended up wearing the 2R with a 3.5-inch platform heel and it was just perfect. The dress has a slight train on the back, so I did hold that up when walking outside but let it flow during the party and it hung just right. The top is snug, but not uncomfortably so. I didn't feel the need to adjust it or pull it up through the evening, which was nice. I also did not wear any special undergarments. I wore my regular underwear and no bra at all. Everything stayed in place just fine! The 2R and 2P fit exactly the same except for the length. The sequins do rub a little bit under the arms, but not enough it stopped me from dancing or forced me to wear my coat all evening. This is my second time renting from RTR, so I tried the Stylist Surprise for my jewelry and was quite pleased with the earrings. I got lots of compliments and was comfortable, but felt super elegant all evening. It was the perfect dress for a black tie event.

I had never rented accessories from RTR, so decided to give this a shot with my RTR dress for a black tie New Year's Eve party. They selected a gorgeous pair of earrings I likely never would have been bold enough to choose myself, but they were perfect, comfortable and gorgeous. I got lots of compliments and would not hesitate to try this again. It only cost me $15 and the earrings I got would have cost me $35 to rent! Well worth it!

I used the Stylist Surprise for my black tie New Year's Eve gala to go along with the Badgley Mischka gown I rented. These earrings were just gorgeous! I was a little afraid when I opened them that they would overwhelm me and be heavy. I'm quite petite and have a small head (I have to buy hats made for kids), but they looked great with the dress and were perfect for a special occasion. They are probably too much for anything less than black tie or a costume party. I got tons of compliments on them - they are striking! They are also lightweight and did not pull on my ears at all. I would forget I was wearing them until someone would comment on them or I would catch a glimpse of my reflection. I was very happy with the selection and would rent these again for a formal occasion.

I was pretty sure the 2 was the right size, but also rented the 4 just in case the bust was tight. Turns out the 2 was an absolutely PERFECT fit. The dress came to just above my knee, which was where I wanted it. I rented it for a holiday party at a restaurant and wore it through the drink reception and three-hour dinner. It was comfortable sitting and standing and I never felt the need to adjust it it any way. I found a great pair of black tights at Target with gold metallic subtle stripes up the side (think tuxedo pants - hard to see in the pic here) and those worked great with the dress and my matte black Christian Louboutin Simple pumps. I wore simple gold and diamond earrings and no other jewelry. I probably would have thrown on a bracelet if I'd had a gold one on hand, but it worked without it. The dress is blingy enough not to need a lot of jewelry, but not over the top or gawdy in any way. I got SO MANY compliments all evening long from both men and women. It really was perfect for the occasion, flattering, fun and dressy without being too formal. I was able to wear my regular bra, too! If I could buy and keep this dress right now, I would! This was my first RTR rental and I will be searching for my New Year's Eve black tie event dress here as soon as I submit this review. I am in love! (My dog couldn't resist getting in the pics with me.)
