I think this is a piece that can be dressed up or down. The fabric is beautiful and I found the kimono very comfortable! If you are short or petite this might not be the piece for you bc I think it runs a tad big and might swallow your shape. I will order again in a smaller size.

Didn't wear bc I couldn't get it zipped up, yet the hips/waist was at least 1-2 sizes too big. Maybe not such an odd fit on small chested women with hips? Wanted to love it bc it was for my birthday dinner but back to RTR it went in the AM. Fabric and detailing is beautiful, but there is no stretch to the fabric. The weight of the fabric and slight sheen makes me think of this as more of a fall transitional dress.

Perfect accessory for my green "cascade gown" also from RTR (BADGLEY M). These made enough of a statement that I didn't wear any other jewelry except for my gold wedding band. They are fun, gorgeous, and not at all heavy in my opinion. Most earrings bother me, but I wore these all night. I paired them with a gold clutch and will rent them again. Wore my hair up bc I wanted to show them off.

I wore this to a military function and the gorgeous green stood out among all the uniforms, and dark dresses. The dress is sexy and sophisticated-yet appropriate. If you're straight and narrow I suggest sizing down. If you're curvy this might run true to size (I would order your normal size and size down for your second size). I wore a normal bra, loosened the straps and just pulled the back strap down and spanx to smooth everything out. 3" heels allowed the 4L to skim the floor perfectly for me, and I was comfortable the entire evening. Dress isn't restricting even though it hugs curves beautifully. I love this gown and I plan to rent it again but maybe in the red. It fit perfectly and I achieved the exact look I was going for. I paired this dress with gold and green fish tail style earrings also from RTR and did a slightly messy top knot to compliment both the dress and the earrings. My other option was going to be Old Hollywood Glam with a different earring and hair down.

Pros- comfortable, gorgeous in person, a bit modest but still fun! I LOVE the colors and lace/pattern details. Gorgeous in person and the color pops. This is perfect for when you want to wear something different, yet subtly sexy. Great for bridal showers, special occasions, weddings, or a party. I think depending on shoe and accessories (keep them minimal) you can dress this up or down. I think for a pear shaped figure this is true to size, but if you don't have any hips plus a small waist definitely size down. The 6 was baggy around my waist and hips and the reason I didn't end up wearing it. I will rent it again but in a 4. Also you need a strapless bra.
