Ok but not great
Likely would be better with a side zipper instead of side buttons for closure. The buttons were charming but mostly out of view when wearing the blouse and they added thickness to the silhouette while a zipper would be invisible but more slimming for the look.

Too cropped for me
I wish it was a bit longer - didn’t wear it because I felt too exposed even with pretty high waisted jeans. Looked nice but I felt too self-conscious and too old for the look.

Nice layer in the winter. The cut isn't super-flattering especially with the horizontal stripe pattern, but wearing it open over a t-shirt improves the look and the green colors are really pretty and the knit is very soft.

great color but awkward fit
It's a bit body con so the cut emphasizes my round little belly and it's not super flattering... plus the shoulder shawl bit falls forward any time you bend over to pick up something and has to be swung back into place. More trouble than it's worth IMHO. Also it is super thick, heavy and awfully warm so maybe better for January than October...

Must have flat chest to wear
Doesn't matter if the rest of your body is a size 4, if you have more than an A cup, you're probably not gonna be able to button the top of this dress. The rest of the dress is pretty snug also so overall, I'd size up on this one if I were you unless you like a snug fit. I had to send it back unworn.

Didn't wear it... it was very thick and the cut was not super flattering for my figure. Probably should have sized up to give it a slightly different fit/look, but it was a bit too warm for early Fall weather anyway.

Pretty & very comfortable
Not a super flattering cut but mostly didn't care - it was very comfortable and the color is quite nice. It was a perfect late summer/early fall casual top.

Great for casual beach vacation wear. Nice to wear unbuttoned over a tank top, or buttoned by itself (though a little shapeless and boxy this way).

the stripes change how the cut looks
I've worn this Derek Lam style of dress in other patterns & solid colors and really liked how they made my figure look. I've even bought a couple of them... but the stripes on this dress made my figure look extra big and round in the chest and hips. Didn't feel so flattering.

I didn't end up wearing it because when I tried it on and walked around the apartment for only about 10 minutes, it started to itch my skin so I couldn't imagine wearing it for a full day in the office or to an evening out. Too bad because the cut was great for me and I loved the colors.

pretty flattering cut

Side button makes the difference
The side button gives the top more interest and a more flattering fit that shapes the waist instead of just hanging loose and blousy if buttoned straight down. But the design patterns (different stripe sizes) also make it interesting. Nice biz casual top or just casual in general top.

the cut is awkward
I liked the pattern, and the idea of the cut, but the actual fit of the cut is odd. I had to keep pulling the peplum down so the upper part of the shirt wasn't quite so puffy and moving all over the place.

Perfect NYE dress!
This dress was so perfect - the fit was great, it was super-comfortable and the cut is very flattering . Plus it has a little almost-invisible panel in the V of the neckline holding things together so it looks rather low cut but actually remains modest. I got lots of compliments on it!

The fabric is a bit itchy especially on my shoulders & upper back...next time I'm going to try wearing a cotton t-shirt under it to see if that helps (fingers crossed) - but otherwise I really liked it. Comfortable other than the itchiness, good colors for me & I got lots of compliments on it.

Plan to order this in the next size up in hopes it will fit better in the chest. Couldn't wear it in my size as it squeezed my chest too much and it's cut too low so between those two factors it looked like I was trying to draw attention to my cleavage... ...not my goal.
