Gorgeous and Structured, but Very Bridal-Coded
This is a beautiful, sculptural dress, best suited for a bridesmaid rather than a general formal event. I wore it to a black-tie evening and was repeatedly asked, “Where’s the wedding?” The pink is soft and flattering, with enough nuance to complement a wide range of complexions. The fit is true to size. The fabric is a thicker synthetic that holds the architectural folds beautifully, though it will feel heavy in temperatures above the mid-70s °F. The bodice is lightly boned and the dress is fully lined, giving it structure without sacrificing comfort. I am 5’4”, and in 4” heels the hem fell just above the vamp of my foot, leaving a slight train in the back. One note: there are no hooks or built-in mechanism to create a bustle, so you will need to be mindful of the train when walking or navigating crowded spaces. If a wearer is 5’7” or taller barefoot, there will not be a train.

I’m a sucker for a shirtdress and summer linen so I was predisposed to fall for this beauty. I was surprised by the number of compliments I received on this dress because it’s not flashy it’s just a nicely designed summer classic. The fit is true to size. The pockets are deep and nicely placed. The skirt has buttons which can be opened for a flirty look. The color is as pictured and because it’s linen and unlined the only way to avoid wrinkling is to wear a slip. The cut will work on a variety of body types and heights. The tie at the waist allows the wearer to make it more figure flattering. This is a perfect summer dress for the office, county club or just every day wear when you want to look pulled together but not formal or flashy.

Stopped traffic twice in a major metropolis in this slinky chocolate confection and collected more compliments than I care to number. The duchess satin material is slinky and luxurious. You will love how it feels on. The cut on this dress is deliberately generous and is meant to be worn slightly oversized so it shimmies and shines on the wearer’s figure when moving. The top is cut large and open - double sided tape will keep the top in place. I’m a true 4 and that’s what wore even though it fit more like a 6. I the large cut combined with the style because I could eat without worrying about a food baby. However, if you want a fit that’s going to show your figure, order down a size (there’s plenty of room).

Go from day to night - just remember to stay snapped😉
Echoing other reviews, the classic black sheath is made modern and chic with contrast stitching and the oversized snaps. One word of caution, when seated, the dress can and does ride-up a bit and you may show more leg than intended. In the photo, I only have one snap undone and really should have sat in a duchess slant at the office. The dress is unlined but the material is substantial and stretches - it will hold you in without showing lines of your foundation. All of the snaps can open but won’t open on their own. However, because they open when you are sitting, there can be gaps between the snaps. This is easy to avoid by straightening the dress. Quiet Luxury Styling Twist: try wearing as a tunic over white pants and open the bottom three snaps.

Luxurious in linen - she’s giving Bridgerton
Between the empire waist, picturesque puffy sleeves and the creamy linen, this dress giving summer tea in the country with the Bridgetons. The fit is roomy - that’s also the style. I ordered true to size and I loved the flow of the fabric but if you’re someone who isn’t into billowy, you could order down. The dress is cut long, petites will need a lift to keep the hem from dragging - I’m only 5’4”. Since the style is empire - you can hide a food baby or wear while pregnant and look chic instead of dowdy - I got plenty of compliments. The color will work on any complexion and the linen isn’t as wrinkly as most linen.

Elevated day to night will work on a variety of body types
This is a very flattering dress that can easily go from day-to-night and will collect compliments the entire time - especially from other women. Boatnecks are completely undervalued for how flattering they are - they accentuate the entire form without really showing anything. The ruching looks great and can cover even a food baby. Then there is the sky-high slit... which is sexy without being too thirsty. The material is lightweight and this is an ideal dress to add to your weekend getaway bag - wear it with sneakers, wear it with flip-flops or stilettos and the dress will work. In real life the color is a very pale sage green - I know it looks beige in the RTR photos, it's not. It's a very muted sage green. Great on a variety of body types, heights and complexions.

Design misses the mark on fuller cup sizes
What makes this dress unique are the front accent ties across the bust and it was the eye-catching design that caught my attention. If you compare my photo with the model, you will see that the material on the ties is either much smaller than the version of the dress advertised or my cup-size is just too much for the design since the lower hem rests across the lower third of my bust line. Another issue with this dress is that the plackets tend to gap-open when sitting. Between the issue with the accent-ties and the plackets I did not wear this dress. Even so, there is a lot to like about this dress if you have a smaller cup size and can make the accent-ties across the bust work. The back of the skirt has a fold-pleat in the middle which looks great from behind. While I admire the aesthetics, I lowered my rating on this dress because the design is for a specific body-type smaller bust (A or B cup).

Great for day to night, cocktails or party
There are some great details on this classic sheath dress - the light ruching around the hips is quite flattering and instead of drawing attention to bloating or food babies, the light ruching keeps the material from bunching or just hanging off lumps and bumps. I also loved the sleeves - they’re fuller without being too poofy or too long, instead they create a very flattering silhouette. The material is a smooth, nylon consistency that doesn’t bunch - it also doesn’t hide anything. The slit is mid-thigh on a short wearer and was office-appropriate. Fit it true to size and stretchy. I wore this to the office and then out for cocktails and dinner. Personally, I’d feel underdressed at a formal or black tie in this dress - but that’s a matter of personal taste.

Quiet Luxury in Pointelle (remember to wear an under layer)
This dress is the very incarnation of "quiet luxury" - between the classic polo shirt dress design to the band on the sleeve cuffs and the striking gold buttons, this dress oozes polish and class and says "money" without slapping a logo on it. After reading the other reviews, I am adding my 2-cents about this dress because there is confusion about how the pointelle material is to be worn - you need an under layer. This timeless dress looks like St. John or vintage Chanel and is at home in a country club - but you need to wear a slip or chemise with it. I chose this photo so others can see the level of transparency when backlit and also how a chemise turns the provocative into proper. The color is as pictured and will look great on any complexion. The fit is true to size. There is plenty of stretch. Only the top two buttons unbutton. Received loads of compliments.

This dress is so very soft - from the texture to the color to the way it skims a body without bunching, this dress is a soft caress. I love the front tie. So many sweater dresses are bulky and make the wearer shapeless, the front tie compliments a figure and is on trend. The slit ran to my upper thigh, it probably will only be mid-thigh on taller wearers. I wore this dress everywhere from the office to brunch, even a casual house party and was complimented everywhere. The color and style will work on any complexion and body type. If you’re into sweater dresses, try this.

Silver and Gold Great for the Holidays
This is a very pretty and well made dress. The fit is true to size. There is a hidden side zipper and the buttons on the cuffs have elastic loops. The ruching is figure flattering. The blouson-style top does not gape open and you can wear a bra with this beauty. The dress is fully lined which means the sequins are not itchy. One note on the sequins, sometimes the sleeves would catch on my hip. Personal Style Warning Surprisingly, I did not end up wearing this dress because it’s too short for me personally. I’m only 5’4” and I didn’t feel comfortable off a beach with a hemline that is higher on my thighs than my fingertips. Also my backside didn’t stay covered when I sat. I did not deduct a star for this because not every dress is designed for every taste. This dress will work on a variety of body types and every complexion. If you’re comfortable with very short dresses, you will love this party dress.

This is a classic turtleneck sweater sheath with a modern twist in the form of the mechanics checkerboard sleeves. The fit is true to size, I found the cut wide in the waist so I added a light belt. The material is a thick, high quality wool. The side slit keeps the wearer from over heating and I prefer a slitted skirt when wearing boots and this dress is great with boots. Wearers with highly sensitive skin might find the mesh sleeves itchy - I was fine but thought I’d mention all the same. I wore this as an everyday dress and it was perfect.

Chic and versatile
I love a classic sheath and this dress builds on a classic by doing it in pleather. Material The pleather is buttery soft and has a little give to it. Like all vinyl, this dress does not breathe but I didn’t find it too hot. It is fully lined and kept me from overheating and also kept the lines of the dress clean. Fit The dress fits true to size. The cut of the bustling is empire waisted on me because I have a long waist - on most wearers this won’t be the case. Even so, the fit was clean without any gaping or bunching. Length I’m only 5’4” and I love the classic below-the-knee length which makes an elegant silhouette. Style I love the chic contrasting white stitching that elevates the dress from just another black dress to something more modern. I paired the dress with a button-down for the office and received a ton of compliments. Later I ditched the shirt and just wore it for dinner out and my date loved it. This is a great dress when you need versatility. Would be ideal for winter travel since you get different looks from one item (it’s compact when folded).

This dress should be renamed from “Harlow” to “Goddess”. The fit is tricky but very workable. I’m a true 4 and I have a fuller cup size so my usual size (small) was too small for my chest. I swapped out the small for a medium and it was perfect - not only were the girls street-legal but the rest of the dress wasn’t overwhelmingly big on me. The fabric is a beautiful muslin-like quality cotton and is ideal for heat. It is layered but still not entirely opaque. No one will see everything through the fabric but there is a touch of visibility. Oh, I won a contest in this beauty.

Awkward fit on long waisted wearer
I rolled the dice on this one and wasn’t thrilled with how it looked on me. It might look great on you though. I have a king waist. The waist in the dress is cut high and wasn’t flattering on me because it sat too high and the draping bunched around my natural waist and made me look like I was carrying an extra 10 pounds. The top is flattering and will work on any cup size since the straps are adjustable - some wearers might want tape. The dress is fully lined and beautifully constructed. My kitten, Minuet, liked the fringe and so did I. It’s a pretty dress and will look great on someone else.

Fabulous for Fall
This dress went from day to night. From the office and out to dinner, collecting compliments everywhere. It would be great for a holiday weekend getaway where you need some versatility in fewer items. The fit is true to size. I’m a true hourglass and a true 4 and it worked on my body type. It will also be great on athletic builds and a-frame. The material is heavy and does not breathe. It is soft and fabric on the interior. There is no give to the material and the only place this matters is in the waist. If you’re between sizes, consider how tight you want it fitted in the waist. The front closure and the cuffs are practical and stylish snaps that remain snapped. There is a zipper on the side of the ribs too.

Perfect Autumn Bag
Super soft with buttery leather, I received loads of compliments on this purse. The versatile style made it perfect to go from day to night. As another review mentioned, this purse does not fully close. The only way anything is going to fall out is if you’re hanging it upside down. However, it can be tempting to pickpockets so if you’re a city dweller, you may want to factor that in. I don’t like crossbody bags so I didn’t use the strap. The length of the chain will fit the purse on your shoulder but because the chain rolls, the purse didn’t stay up. I consistently carried on my forearm. The size can fit a wallet, phone, lipstick, glasses and kindle. The purse includes a built-in chain purse that’s adorable and handy. The chain is extremely lightweight but will make noise if you’re rummaging in a movie theater.

The dress is fully lined meaning it flows nicely over a body and never bunches. The dress is NOT A WRAP - meaning there is no ability to customize the fit as one does with a real wrap. The dress has a side zipper proving a nice fit from the waist through the chest. The opening at the chest may be a bit much for some wearers, I am full-chested and never risked a nip-slip. This dress is ideal for anyone whose go-to is a wrap. The fit is true to size. There are interior ties to keep the dress closed and the main ties are long and can be wrapped to fit the wearer’s preferences. I loved the beaded tassels at the end of the ties - cute and unexpected. The dress is short but not so so short that your backside hangs out. I’m only 5’4”. I really appreciated the a-line bottom that is perfect for wearers with full-size backsides who want to keep it covered without the hemline hitching up. The print reminded me of a deck of cards and I received compliments all night going from restaurant to clubs. The dress is lined and is warm enough for Fall.

Order Up - could not wear.
With over 300 reviews, I’m experienced at ordering to fit my body. I’m a smaller person and curvy (32DD-27-33) with a full backside. Depending on the brand, I order either 2 or 4, given the cut on other Tory Burch items, I ordered a 2. It was comical, I couldn’t get this dress on my body. Undoing the tie on the top and fully unzipping, I couldn’t get this dress over my shoulders (never got close to the bust). Stepping-in was just as impossible - I couldn’t get a second leg in😂 To even get in this dress I’d have to order up at least one size. Until this dress, every other Tory Burch item has been cut large, the proportions on this dress are not adjustable and cut very under size. The waist which appears smocked with elastic is not. Plus the side zipper does not extend the full length of the waist - normally, dresses with fitted waists have a longer zipper to enable the wearer to get in the garment, not true here and without it, there was no way for me to even get it on. It’s a pity because this is a pretty dress. Recommendation: great for a lean, banana-shape body.

I liked it so much I bought it
The first thing to know about this dress is the color is grass green and not the washed-out shade in the RTR photos. The cut on this dress is large, so order down to hit the mark - this is especially true if you’re between sizes. If you’re TTS, only order down if you’re a B-cup or smaller - the top is generous. The dress has two layers which means it doesn’t bunch or cling and it moves with you when you walk. The style can go from day to night and the length will work on both us vertically challenged girls (I’m 5’4”) and will still be a maxi on taller girls - 5’9” and it’s more midi but I think it would look better at that length anyways. I received a lot of compliments. I liked this dress so much that I bought it at 85% off the the list price.

The lace/up detail in the bodice is sassy and can be adjusted by the wearer to fit their body. Support? Zero. If you need support for your girls, skip this dress. Get in line because I’m going to be tardy in returning this beauty. There isn’t anything not to like about this purse . The asymmetrical style is on-trend and so chic. The purse has a nice weight and lays well against the wearer. The rainbow accordion detail is beautiful and keeps this purse from being just another little black bag. The chain is metal and comfortable. The interior is unlined and has a detachable insert pocket. You can fit a cell phone, small make-up bag, wallet, glasses and keys. There is also a side pocket along the exterior of the backside that’s handy. Love this purse.

Casually sexy and comfortable
This dress is great for a casual date or even the office and a flight when paired with a jacket. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because the cut isn’t ideal for my figure. Fit I found the straps to be long so I pinned the outer straps and liked the fit. Aknvas tends to cut generously so if you’re between sizes, order down. Material The knits by Aknvas tend to be heavy and are very comfortable and stretchy. Don’t be shy about ordering down a size.

This bag will hold the essentials - keys, phone, glasses, wallet and lipstick. I really liked the soft design and the quality construction. The strap is the perfect length so the purse sits comfortably on your arm and under your shoulder. The closure is magnetic and does not seal completely making this more of an occasion bag than an everyday bag.

I loved the retro vibe of the polka-dot sheath and after reading other reviews, I rolled the dice and ordered up a size for my girls and I loved the result. The dress is double layered mesh which means there is stretch but it’s tailored with ruching to sculpt and enhance shape. I found that ordering up a size was flattering since the dress was still fitted but not like sausage casing - which was great because I could wear a slip and wear this dress to the office so it wasn’t see through.. It was hit at work. It was a hit a cocktails and I received loads of compliments. I liked how the top half is like a layered with a slight cowl neck.

Modern twist on classic design with perfect pop of color
This is a gorgeous purse with multiple compartments and great magnetic closure in the center. The zippers on the forward compartments are stylish and practical. Fits glasses, compact wallet, phone and lipstick with room for additional makeup. Will not fit a full sized brush. The straps are not long enough to comfortably wear on the shoulder so you have to carry either by hand or on your forearm like a Royal.

Traffic stopped 3 times when I wore this dress
Seemingly simple, this dress is anything but basic. Style This beauty will look great on a variety of body types and heights. The neckline is elasticized so it can be worn on or off the shoulder. The sleeves, the sleeves are everything and evoke Princess Diana’s wedding dress. The pockets (yes this dress even has pockets) are well-placed and deep. Material The fabric is synthetic and has the feel and texture of taffeta. The sleeves hold their shape and the material doesn’t wrinkle - it moves with and around you. Because the fabric is synthetic it doesn’t breathe and will be too hot for weather above 75-degrees. Fit This dress runs large and there is lots and lots of fabric - don’t be shy about ordering down a size. Order true to size will work too - you’ll just have extra fabric to work with.

Be Barbie! I ordered down a size for better fit. Length is midi not maxi.
The color of this dress is pure Malibu Barbie and will look great on a variety of complexions. The length of the dress IRL is midi NOT maxi as photographed on the model - the midi length is sexier and lends a certain vintage cool vibe. I’m 5’4” and the hem hit about 6” above my ankle. The ruching is flattering which isn’t always true of ruching - just wait until you see what it looks like on your backside. There are zippers in the cuffs of the sleeves to make getting in-out easy. The material is stretchy. The top is cut disproportionally large - ideal for broad shoulders - otherwise you will be wrestling to keep the shoulders up - the off-shoulder look is sexy and works with the style of the dress. Even though the shoulders and bust are cut large, the sleeves are not - if a wearer has big guns, this might not be comfortable for them even though the material stretches. In fact, the overall cut everywhere but the sleeves is large - I ordered down and liked the fit since the overall cut is generous (except in the width of the sleeves). I didn’t give this dress 5 stars because shoulders were cut so wide and the sleeves narrow - making it not ideal for every wearer.

You will either love it or loath it
Altein has produced various dresses with this bias-cur ruching that a wearer will either love or hate. Material Is a beautiful liquid chrome that is absolutely slinky - pair with metallic footwear for maximum metal. Cut The neckline is slightly adjustable and because it’s a blouson cut, the wearer can do a little bit of arranging on how the material falls. The wearer warning. Between the ruching, the material and the lines it will show every bump and lump and food-baby. You cannot customize the ruching. The material will show lines from tight shapewear. I didn’t deduct a star because this cut and style is synonymous with the brand. The designers achieved their objective. However this dress is not going to be for everyone.
