Saucy and Modern
I wore my back up dress instead. I went a little out of my comfort zone on this one, and it fit exactly as I had hoped. I'm not one for the "tight" look, but enjoy a fitted look. I rented a 6 (my usual size) and 8 and the 8 did exactly what I wanted; the dress was form fitted but didn't look tight. I believe this dress could be dressed up or down. I would not have considered it formal enough for our military ball without the pictured jewelry. It's fun, and modern, but I went with my classy, elegant backup instead.The color is beautiful: a deep periwinkle that can be blue or purple. And it's long. I'm 5'8 and it took my 5 inch heels to get the hem off the floor; however, the 6L worked with my 4 inch heels.

Beautiful dress!
I loved this dress. It is fitted through the waist. I was a true size 8 at the time, pushing a 10 and 145 lbs. The dress hid it well! The split was fun. You know its there, but have to work if you want it to show. I wore it to a military ball which involves dinner, and that is the only time I needed to watch the split. The skirt is so full I had to fold the layers into my lap while eating. The dress is long. I'm 5'8" and wore 4 inch heels, and the hem just graced the floor. The color is beautiful and matches well with Army blues!

The dress fit beautifully and as I had hoped. I'm a solid 6 (34/ 27/ 38), but have a rib cage that's a small 6 or a big 4. From reading reviews that mentioned the dress feeling loose up top, I ordered a 4L and never had a problem with the top sliding down. It was the snug, but not to tight, perfect fit. I'm 5'8" and wore 3 inch heels. My toes peeped out, but not so much that the dress looked too short. The dress is not black at all, and the deep midnight blue shows more in person. I feel this photo shows the true color of the dress better than the model.
