I wore this for a work holiday party, and while it was stretchy, I wasn't super self-conscious about it being too risque. A simple pair of shapewear panties controlled my tummy pooch without feeling the need to suck my stomach in all night long. The only thing was the top kept coming up, so I would have to refold it down once or twice during the night. But I honestly loved this dress and would either buy it or one just like it.
