I wore this to a 1920s themed party (just add accessories!). I normally wear a 2 or 4 (US), and I ordered the 8 and 10 (UK). I didn't even try zipping the 8, and the 10 fit well. There was a tiny bit of gaping/extra material in the back, but not such that anyone but I would notice. Really beautiful dress, I loved wearing it!

I am normally between a 2 and a 4. The 2 was tight in the waist, and since I'm petite with a small bust, the neckline and straps were too large. The 4 was perfect in the waist but even worse in the arm hole/strap/bust area. If I owned this dress, I'd buy the 4 and get the straps tailored for it to fit properly. However, the dress itself is beautiful and swishy and really fun to dance in!
