Having only a week’s notice to find a dress for a black tie event, I turned to RTR. Originally I ordered a 4, my usual size, but remembering that I had recently shed a few pounds I figured I'd order the complimentary second size in a 2, just in case. Thank goodness RTR sends you two sizes because I was swimming in the 4 and probably could have even fit into a 0. The 2 did the trick though and I felt gorgeous at an event that I had no time to shop for.
Photos don't do this dress justice. The way it drapes and folds simply aren’t easily caught on camera. That said, I absolutely love this dress. Brown can be such a difficult color to wear but the shade of the color, the sparkle of the sequins and the texture created by the reversible sequin fabric just made this so flattering. After reading some of the reviews saying that shoulders fell off I decided to tape the neckline in place, just a small piece of tape on the top of each shoulder, and had no issues with it. I received loads of compliments and felt very elegant in this at a black tie event. Heads-up: Being 5’4” with a somewhat athletic frame, the hemline came to just above my knees & the bottom did not fit as tightly as it’s shown on the model.
