Heavier than expected, but to gorgeous to not wear.
These earrings were heavier than I expected. I rented them because I thought they were for pierced ears, but they were clip ons. I couldn't wear them for long because my ears can't take it, but they were so beautiful. I would give my ears a rest and then put them back on again, because I couldn't not wear them.

The right accessories put me smack dab in the 1920's.
I wore this a friend's RetroWedding. They appreciated my attempts at the 20's.(It's all in the accessories.) This dress was a bit too big for me, so i threw on a belt and pulled the fabric over it. Perfect to hide all the not so toned parts. :) I would absolutely wear it again.

I love this bracelet. I've rented it in gold and now silver and every time I think this bracelet is so perfect that I should really buy it. Not too chunky but loud enough to catch everyone's eye!

Jazzing it up at parental high school reunion.

Adjustable tie in the back was perfect.
The black strap tie in the back blended perfectly with the black strap tie in the back of the Jessica Romper by Slate & Willow. The necklace went seemlessly with the dress and complemented the entire ensemble and I was very glad that it was adjustable to about a 16" length.

I wore this to an out of town wedding, and the stress free relief that came from having this outfit sent to the hotel was beyond imagining. The outfit was wonderful and I rocked it and danced in it all night long. I'm not one to go without a bra, so finding one that fit this outfit was a challenge. (Last I went bra shopping I was a 34G; I definitely must have a bra.) I wore a convertible halter top bra and tucked the straps (meant for the hanger) in strategic places so that I wouldn't flash the other guests. There are some great pics that, once I figure out how to upload from my phone, I'll share. There was a price, however, to looking so fabulous. The biggest, most painful hurdle was the ribbing for the black corset in the bra area. When the romper arrived, I noticed the sharp toothpick sized stays had escaped their encasings and would jab me the whole night. They did. I tried to cover them, but to no avail. I ended up holding up that part of the ensemble on the walk back to the hotel. I will survive though, and my survival will be all the sweeter for having the memory of all the random folks who told me I looked great on the dance floor.
