I got this dress at the last minute for a fancy dinner as a part of my alumni weekend festivities. I liked it because you could pair it with nice accessories and heels to dress it up and put on a jacket and flats to dress it down (like I did after dinner!) The fit of this dress is actually surprisingly flattering. I don't have much in the way of cleavage, so the V in front was subtle enough to be suggestive without showing too much. The train in back is longer than it looks in the picture but I loved it. It's the perfect length for sitting down, as well. The only complaint I have is that the inside of the dress is mesh, which makes it nice and swishy but really uncomfortable if you're sitting for a while (I had itchy imprints on my legs). I put that it fits true to size, but the ribcage is pretty forgiving so I wish I had been able to try on a 0. The 2 worked fine at the last minute, though. Also, apologies for the minimal photo - it's the only one I got!

I picked up these earrings in store when another pair didn't fit. The color is much more green in person, so they went well with my green ballgown (pictured without earrings for color reference). They are also versatile, so they worked with my blue party dress as well (pictured with earrings)! What's more, I got more compliments on these than my dresses. I wouldn't normally choose something like this because I like earrings that hang down, and they're pointy so not as subtle as what I would normally wear, but I loved them. If you're considering it I'd say go for it.

I was definitely very happy with this dress. It was comfortable, flattering on curves (and after a big meal!) because of the gathering, and just the right amount of green and sparkle. I will say a few things I didn't expect: I marked that it fits small because it fits smaller than other Badgley Mischka dresses. Also, to note if you are athletic: I have strong shoulders, so the arm hold of the sleeve was very tight. I also have strong legs, and my leg came ENTIRELY out of the slit... others who say it was subtle must have very small legs! Sitting down I had to be sure to keep it covered with a napkin or by folding it over because it came up to the top of my thigh. Don't get me wrong, I loved the slit, but if I had been more self-conscious about my leg bulging out it would not have been ideal. Also, they didn't have a long in my size, so I thought it would be fine, and it wasn't great... the dress was above my ankle, and I'm 5'8". Luckily the slit made the length less obvious.

I love sequins, and I chose two dresses that were dark blue (one was black with blue sequins) with lighter accents, so I thought these earrings would be great. They were! A little tight at first, but otherwise they fit great, and matched the dress perfectly. I wish I could have kept them!

I loved the way this dress looked on. I thought it might be too over the top (with the sequins and open back) for my DAR event, so I got a backup, but the blue sequins are subtle and the open back looked like tasteful cutouts. The fit was great, too - really good for an hourglass figure. It was tight at the top and at the top of the bottom half, but there was plenty of room for my butt, which is sometimes an issue! The best thing about this dress was its uniqueness - I wore it to an event down the street from the Georgetown RTR where EVERYONE was wearing RTR dresses, so there were a lot of repeats. However, most girls hadn't even seen this dress because it's so different! Notes: I think other reviewers have said this, but it is VERY tight across the chest. I am relatively small-chested (though I am athletic, which I think was the problem) and the underarms rubbed pretty badly - I even have raw spots now. Of course, I didn't notice at the time, but I'd definitely recommend a backup in case it doesn't fit you in the chest. I also have a small waist and it fit me pretty well around the waist, though for that I wish I could have tried on a 0. All in all I'd recommend getting your size and either one size up if you're large-chested or one size down if you're small-waisted. Also watch that your bra doesn't slip down in the back.

I wore this to a Navy ball that had a date change, so I was lucky it went with both dress whites and blues. The gold is kind of subtle and shimmery in person (not wallpapery like it looks in the pictures), which is lovely, and the train is really nice. I fits large, like other dresses from this designer - I normally wear a 2/4, and the zero was totally fine, even though I have wide hips and it's not particularly stretchy. Also keep in mind the length - I really needed a long, but the 0 didn't come in long. I was about 6'0" with heels for the event, and you could see my entire shoe. Luckily the train kind of made up for it, but if you're taller than 5'6" and wearing heels, you'll definitely need a long. Also, there's no way you can wear a normal bra of any kind because the back is totally open! I had the problem others have mentioned where one of the back clasps comes open, but the other one stayed shut, so you couldn't really tell the difference. I would definitely recommend this dress for any classy formal occasion. It's beautiful and understated!

The dress fit well, but definitely size down if you have a small waist. I normally wear a 4 but ended up in a 0 to make it more snug around the waist. I also have wide hips, but this dress (even the 0) was fine - it stretches and hangs nicely around the hip area! The R is pretty long on its own, but I'm 5'8" and was wearing heels so definitely wanted to go for the long. Be aware the train drags! It barely touched my toes in the front but was really long in the back. Lovely, but it was raining, so I had to be careful to pick it up. I was also able to wear a normal bra because the cowl folded around it in the back, which was great. I also loved this dress because the high neck and little sleeves make it appropriate for more conservative events, while the sequins (and the back!!!) give it a little something extra. Overall it was perfect for the event and I'd definitely recommend it! Also, I would recommend scheduling an appointment - I went into the Georgetown store and was able to try on all the dresses I wanted. I also got the advice of a stylist, Sam, who was incredibly patient and helpful!
