I wound up not wearing this (I loved the backup dress more), but it was a great dress. It fit great - I did think it looked a little poofy in the waist/mid-section, perfect if you have a little stomach you want to hide or a few extra pounds left over from the holidays. Loved the elegance of the material and detail of the lace neckline.

A little long but perfect with heels (wore 3" heels - am 5'5 and wore the MR). Not very well-endowed in the boob region, so wore a "natural/stick on bra" and used dress tape to tape the edges of the deep V (just to make sure everything stayed in place). Able to walk around and dance without issues (not too constricting around the legs). Received tons of compliments. It was dressy, but fun/sexy. Perfect for a gala. Highly recommend, would rent again!

Rented this for my husbands graduation - received so many compliments on it! It was a perfect spring dress, not too fancy but could be dressed up/down with accessories. I'm usually a medium but the small fit comfortably. It's very nice material and lined. Good length, the ruffled/flair skirt is subtle but fun and flattering. Wish I could buy it! Only thing I would've done differently is sunless tanner on my arms/legs! I wore a strapless bra but could've gone without. Highly recommend this dress.

I'm going to agree with all of the other reviews of the Elizabeth & James dresses - definitely runs a bit small. I'm usually a 6, but got the 6 and 8. The 6 fit, but it was snug and I though it would impede my eating and dancing so I opted for the 8. The material is flattering and form-fitting, but not in a vulgar or too obscene of a way. This dress was perfect for a May wedding in Manhattan, and I received tons of compliments on it! Even sizing up I was worried about panty lines/bra lines - a seamless thong would be ideal, and I used pasties for the bra situation. Highly recommend - sad to return it!

I originally ordered this dress for an outdoor spring wedding in NYC, but they didn't have my backup size. I wound up wearing the dress to the rehearsal dinner and it worked perfectly (it would've been too casual for the actual wedding). It's a fun, spring/summer dress. Loved the open back. Does seem a bit in the bigger end - I wore the 6 (as the 4 wasn't available for my event) and it was a little loose throughout the waist/bust area (I wear a 34B and that's being generous) but comfortable and didn't look too big. Overall a great dress for a more casual wedding or spring/summer event. Not able to wear a bra - I used pasties and was fine, the material is thicker but I didn't want to risk it.
