Pretty fabric, terrible fit
I wanted to love this so badly, but the top part was just too puffy and weird for me. I tried with more padding, tied it up different ways, etc. Nothing was going to make the top look ok. Maybe if I had a longer torso? Or shorter? I don't even know. On the Medium, somebody had sewn the tie on which seemed to misalign the liner and so it gaped on the side as well. The alternate size didn't have that, but that was way too big in general.

Pink Striped Halter Dress
Slate & Willow
Size Worn: NONE
Usual Size: 10
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 160lbs
Bust: 36C
Beautiful color and texture.
Could've gone either way - M or L but the M showed off the curves just a bit more. However, the dress is narrow on the bottom half and made going up stairs and walking a little difficult (I'm tall and used to taking long steps I guess!). It was a different type of dress for me but I loved the gamble I took. The top half helps balance out everything so it's flattering but concealing at the same time. I wore a nude bra that if you stared could see it, but not super noticeable. The material will start to pill after a little bit and was happy to receive these dresses new with tags on. I'd be weary to rent if you are able to read MANY reviews on it (but that's my theory on all dresses). Dress is beautiful royal blue color - extremely rich in pigment.

Too heavy/intense
This was a last minute replacement dress as the other one I ordered was too short. I'm 5'6.5"- 5'7" and apparently am right in between a Regular and a Long length dress... :( The day before NYE, there weren't too many other options but I was intrigued by this dress! It was shipped directly to the hotel so I couldn't try on and figure out the underwear scene first. The 8R was just a little too tight and the 10L was too long even with the 3 inch heels I brought. It's very heavy due to all of the sequins and bunched in the middle. The back has a sheer panel so any strapless bras are noticeable which was one of my final deterrents to wearing it - other than the fact I'd be hitching it up, having to hold my skirt up all night and such. It is SO STRIKING in person... I felt like a mermaid! Wish the fit would've worked out better.

All of the family members telling me I looked "RED HOT"... haha
The bodice is very true to size and without any stretch. I tried to wear the size 8 (I fluctuate between 6-10 depending on the dress) mostly because the zipper worked and it had a functional back clasp. But the top was too tight and I could see where my chest was smushing out of my bra, haha and it felt too tight in the shoulders. So we went with the 10 and "macguyvered" the back with safety pins - the zipper is such that it doesn't stay up on it's own. The overlay is pretty thick and bulky - I think it would be very heavy in the summer, but for this winter wedding/valentine's day party, it was perfect. But because I'm curvy, I felt the skirt was a little bulkier than I would've liked. The waist was nice but felt it wasn't as complimentary given the structure of the dress. Overall, I liked it a lot and received a lot of compliments! Am also noticing a trend in ordering dresses that have a lot of reviews/photos to ponder, is that none of the zippers work :/

Liked having the 2nd dress option at a discount - just in case!
I did not end up wearing this dress. It is really pretty but wasn't the fit I imagined. Instead of having that "binding" feeling (as a big chested, curvy girl... I mean this in a good way), all of the fabric around the waist and bust was just too much and made me look more bulky than anything. The boning on the right was very sturdy but it came up too far - all the way to my armpit and was uncomfortable. I don't usually go for reddish colors but got this one for a wedding that had a red theme and I wouldn't have chosen this color for myself. The material was nice though.

Bust A Move Dress

It was very easy and took the pain out of hitting the mall for hours!
I requested the M and L... the M fit great (and the slip seemed more at length with the overlay) but liked that I had some more give with the L and didn't have to "suck in" as much especially after eating/drinking :) I'm curvy and it clung to the right spots and if you are a decollatage (SP!), this dress was amazing. I got a TON of compliments and several people said they voted my dress as the best of the night (and from people I didn't know!). I'm not a thong person and made sure to choose a nude color hipster as lighter & darker colors/prints were noticeable through the dress. I wore a push up strapless bra that wasn't at all noticeable and the bust has some stretch to help keep you in too and the straps were flexible enough so they didn't dig in. Very easy to move in...basically, I would've loved to have kept it!!!
