This is a year late as I wore this dress for my birthday last January, but I found this photo and I just needed to say something. This dress was amazing. Perfect. My boyfriend was in awe from the moment I put it on. I wore this to a formal dinner and for exploring Manhattan afterward - got compliments everywhere we went! The fit was amazing, hugging every curve perfectly without flattening (plus you can obviously wear a bra with this) or making you feel too constricted (unless you eat a huge steak dinner which can make it a little more so, but while still looking great). Also, the material is on the thicker side, but it makes for an ideal winter dress. Another reason I'm posting this now is because my birthday is in a few weeks and I'm planning on getting this again! I'm going to be trying something new, but this is my backup dress because I know that wearing it again would absolutely make my night.

This review is crazy late as I wore this for my college graduation in May 2012, but I still remember it like it was yesterday! This was my first RTR experience and it turned out perfectly. First of all, my size has changed significantly over the years so my sizes then were Weight: 148 lbs and Bust: 34DD/36 D. I wore this under my gown for the ceremony which was held outside, and it was light enough that I did not get overheated in the sun. Also, the pockets! I loved not having to carry anything - I just had my phone, some money, and my keys which fit in the pockets seamlessly. No one had any idea that I had pockets with all that stuff. This dress was also formal enough for the reception afterward and the celebratory dinner with my family later that night. I haven't had the opportunity yet, but I would definitely rent this again!

I wore this dress for a Halloween date with my boyfriend. We wanted to go out for a nice dinner with some type of pumpkin-themed menu before hitting the city later that night. I wanted something fun and cute that I could pull off both at a nicer restaurant and a bar during Halloween. This was perfect! It wasn't necessarily perfect for a typical dinner date, but Halloween is a forgiving night. I dressed it up more like a costume by adding a fedora and some funky shoes which got me free drinks later that night. It was a little big in the middle which I fixed by adding a belt (that was loosened the more I ate - so it was great in that regard!) I think my favorite part was how it moved when I walked - the word I would use to describe this dress is simply fun! It made for a great night.

While I really liked the dress, the zipper on the side just wouldn't lie flat. When I tried walking around in it, it just looked awkward; when I sat down in it the zipper just stuck out completely. Even my boyfriend thought it looked strange. I ended up wearing one of my own dresses. I did see the same complaint in some other reviews, so I wonder if it's just certain sizes that have this problem? I rented an XS and S.
