Actually painful
Feels classy and sexy to me, and fits well. However, one of the boning pieces is not sewn in correctly; it sticks through the bottom and pokes in the ribs. FWIW I rented a size 6.

The description says 34" inseam but the pair I received was only 32". Also, the bottom hem would not lay flat. I didn't wear them. But if you don't need the length, these are fine.

If you aren't 'pear shaped'. These have no stretch and nip in at the waist. Wish they were just an inch or two longer...

Impossible as a rental because the waist is huge (as other reviewers have said) relative to the hips, thighs, etc. Probably meant to be bought and tailored. Would love if they fit though!

The pockets (yay pockets!) added inches to my hips. They are not stitched in place so the fabric sort of bunches on the sides. Otherwise cute & comfortable.

It gives wings, but snatches
I tucked part of the "wing" fabric into the shoulders of the dress - it looked much better on me that way. The waist is elastic with a string that can be used to tighten. Great summery fabric + lined so it's not see-through. I'm 5'9 and wore this with flats. Short folks may need heels.

I rented the matching pants too. Love how the pattern feels playful but subtle. Both pieces were easy to mix & match. Top is pull over but has zipper to tighten. I usually take a small / 4-6 in these kind of tops to fit my ribcage area, and the small in this top fit.

Multiple compliments, but gaped at the buttons.
Shirt gaped at the buttons even though it is very stretchy and was not tight at all on me. I'm still glad I rented it. It's a little more cropped than I thought, but great with high rise jeans. Feels preppy and kind of retro to me.
