Wore this for springtime family photos as I wanted something feminine but not with a lot of exposed flesh. It was very comfortable though I would have liked if it was a bit more cinched at the waist to give more shape--hung more straight on my frame. If I had sized down the dress would have been too tight in my arms/bust. The colors were beautiful (navy base as other reviews mention) and the fabric has a nice billow as you move.

I normally wear a 16 but all that was available was a 14--it was a bit snug in the bust but otherwise fit great and I was able to dance all night. The color is beautiful and I got many compliments. Loved that the lace sleeves provided some coverage without restricting any movement. I'm 5'8'' and wore 2 inch heels; the regular length was slightly off the ground. Make sure you steam--I didn't realize how wrinkly the dress was until getting ready to go.

Loved this dress! The colors are vibrant and the material is silky and lightweight. Being 5’7’’ this still hit mid-calf. I wore it to a sunny summer wedding and didn’t overheat (or get funny tan lines!). Especially loved the loose sleeves so I could freely move my arms. The bust was a little bit tight on me — a minimizer bra would have solved that issue. The dress also travels well. Despite a day in a suitcase it didn’t wrinkle too badly and the wrinkles fell out with steam from a shower.

Loved this outfit. I wore for two different professional events. I'm sensitive about my postpartum belly and the peplum covered nicely. The fabric is smooth but pretty thick, so looks sophisticated but is on the warmer side. The only downside (but not enough to knock off a star) was the torso length--would have loved an extra half inch. I'm 5'8'' and a 38DDD and found that without shaping shorts underneath the outfit rode up my behind...which is not the look I go for at work!! :)

I rented this dress to take maternity photos in. Love the color! The body of the dress fit great at 38 weeks, and I have a big belly. My main complaint is the fold down top--it kept riding up and I was just having photos taken, not doing anything active. I couldn't even successfully adjust the top without help, though since this dress was for photos I cared about having it lay perfectly. My guess is if you have narrower shoulders this wouldn't be a problem.

I planned to wear this dress for a work party that was canceled due to COVID-19. Since I still had it at home, I figured why not get dressed up and take some glamour pregnancy shots! This dress is awesome--VERY formfitting, so I probably wouldn't feel comfortable wearing any time but pregnant, when I want to actually show off my belly. It felt a little like a thin wetsuit; I was really held in without having my movement restricted. I liked that the sleeves gave my upper arms some coverage.

Perfect dress for a black tie event! I wore this to a friend's wedding and got compliments on it all night. Given the material, the dress doesn't wrinkle, which makes it a great option if you're going to be traveling. Like the other reviews note, this dress leaves nothing to the imagination! It is totally fitted through the knees. It felt a little like a wetsuit, but was comfortable and very easy to move & dance in. Because of the straps, I was able to wear a low-cut bra with straps for added support, though the dress does have a built-in bra. At 5'7'' with 4'' heels, the long worked perfectly and hung just at the ground.

I rented this dress for an engagement shoot and LOVE how this dress pops in the photos! It is a very true red - not orangey but not cool toned either. It does run small in the upper body. I am consistently a size 10 in RTR designer dresses and needed a 12 for this one to accommodate my bust and arms, and it was still a little snug. If you are slender on top relative to your bottom, though, you probably won't need to size up. If you rent this dress make sure you have a steamer handy - when the dress arrived the bottom was wrinkled, and given the smooth fabric the wrinkles really show. I was able to steam everything out in 20 minutes with a tiny hand-held steamer. I also wish I'd worn flesh toned shapewear to my rib cage to prevent some minor muffin top, given the lower-sitting waist and sheer panel above it. It is a heavier fabric, even the top, so I was a little warm. All in all, though, this dress was fun and flirty!

Love this dress! The stretchy fabric is very comfortable, and the sequins lay flat so they won't tear up your under arms. Perfect for dancing the night away. The dress fits very true to designer size. You could size down for a more snug fit, but given the nature of the fabric and how it drapes think you could even go up a size and the dress won't look too loose. I'm 5'7'' and with four inch heels the long just brushed the floor. The back is just low enough that you'll need to wear a low backed bra, and if you wear shapeware it would need to hit at the waist (not to the rib cage). I was going to wear control top pantyhose, but opted against it since the top line was visible in this dress, since it has no waist line.

I felt like a movie star in this dress! I'm 5'7'' and with 4 inch heels the back of the dress still brushed the ground. For walking I had to occasionally pick up the back fabric so as to not get my heels caught on the dress. The cinched fabric around the waist is very flattering and slimming. I wore this for an Indian wedding ceremony (but not the party) since from other reviews I figured I wouldn't have total arm mobility for dancing. That is true - with some effort I could get my arms into a Y but then the dress's boning poked my waist a bit. Had no issues with the boning at any other times, just when putting my hands in the air. I carry more weight in my arms and back, so if you are more slender on top may have more freedom to swing your arms around. Would definitely rent again for a function without dancing.

I received compliments on this dress all night and felt like a Disney princess! I wore to a Sangeet. The colors are extremely vibrant and the fabric design is intricate and beautiful. It ran true to size. I am consistently a 10 across other designers on rent the runway and this was no exception. I did try on the 12, and given how nicely the fabric drapes, could've easily worn this as well without the dress looking too large. I would recommend sizing up for your back up option. At 5'7'' this dress hit well below my knees. I was able to wear a regular strapless bra. The dress has a little crinoline, so it moves and twirls beautifully. Highly recommend!

Throughout the night I received so many compliments on this dress! The cutaway back was the perfect amount of skin to be sexy without trying too hard. The photo doesn't do the color justice - it is a beautiful gunmetal silver with blue undertones. The sequins are not over the top, however, so it is classy looking. I ordered this dress after an 8 and 10 in another dress did not fit my chest. Loved this one! I normally am a size 10, but due to the stretchy nature of the fabric could have easily fit in an 8. That said, I am glad I wore the 10 and wasn't stuffed into the dress. It draped very nicely and I could still wear a pair of control-top Spanx (that hit at the waist, not ribcage) in order to smooth out my lower body. However, if you're uncomfortable in clothes that show off your stomach this dress is probably not for you - even in the looser 10, any gut would definitely show. Also, the 10 gave my upper arms a bit more room to move. I wore a backless bra which worked just fine. I think if you went with tight sizing/are small-busted you could wear this dress without a bra.
