I wore this to an afternoon wedding in Manhattan and it was the perfect dress! I got compliments all day and several comments that it looked tailored to me and they couldn’t believe it was rented! I’m small on top with relatively wider hips (bust 32, waist 26, hips 38) so this cut is just right for my body type. Might not work as well for someone with a bigger bust? Had the 0 for a backup but didn’t even try it because the 2 fit perfectly. I’m generally a 0 or 2 in tops and a 4 in bottoms. The quality was outstanding, too, beautiful heavy material and delicate embroidery. Adored it!! One of my favorite rentals!

I liked how unique this dress was and how it hugs the hips and accentuates your curves. The hips area was quite tight on me which was flattering, but the top fit me kind of awkwardly (I’m much smaller on top) and I didn’t love how I felt in it. Ultimately it wasn’t the right vibe for the event I was going to so I didn’t wear it.

I know everyone says this on RTR, but I truly got compliments on this dress all day/night! I wore it to an Indian wedding from day to night events and it was so unique and comfortable for a slightly chilly spring day. Like the other reviews say, it's tight! Definitely was conscious of sucking in my stomach after eating. :) I often wear XS, but with this went with S to fit my hips. It fit great! One downer: I'm 5'7" and even with a fairly low heel, it was a little short.

I rented this last-minute for a gala and only the 2L was available. Fortunately it fit so well, just a teensy big!! A little bit of give in the waist, but a good fit in the hips and shoulders. (I have wide hips for my waist/bust.) I'm 5'7" and wore 3-4 Inch heels and the front hem just swept the floor, with the back giving a slight train, which was just right. I'm normally a 4 in something that tight in the hips, so I feel this ran a little large. Overall this was a STUNNING, incredibly elegant dress, and with the high quality heavier material and in black, it just wears beautifully.

I absolutely LOVED this dress, it was such a statement piece with the gorgeous color and simple lines, but sexy curve-hugging shape. I'm shaped like an XS on top and a Medium in hips, and the Small fit me perfectly. Hips were snug in all the right ways and the fabric has some stretch which is perfect for small waist/wider hips. I wore a sticky bra to stabilize the top - for smaller chested women, I might suggest sizing down. I didn't have to adjust the top too much, but it felt a tiny bit loose.

This dress was a stunner! I wore it to a fundraising social and people were coming up to me all night saying, "I just can't BELIEVE how amazing that dress is!!" Most of my conversations were about the dress! lol From other reviews I thought the Small would be the right fit but none were available so I just ordered the Medium in case. Fit like a glove! Really flatters and accentuates curves (especially the butt, let's be honest!). It's also very comfortable and easy to move in. The fabric is very stretchy, so it's quite forgiving in terms of sizing up and down. I am pear-shaped (bust 33, waist 26, hips 38.5 -- as I like to say, a 2 on top and an 8 on bottom) so the dress was perfectly form fitting and very flattering on the hips/butt and comfortable on top. Women with a larger chest may want to size up!

Felt AMAZING in this dress, it hits in all the right places, and is a total power dress! It's an incredibly flattering cut and color, and good thick material that acts like spanx without the spanx. :) I ordered the 6 and the 8 and went with the 6. I'm normally a 0-2 in a dress that has some give in the hips, or a 4-6 in a really tight one. Like the other reviews said, this runs small! The 6 was very tight getting on, and I had slightly limited mobility (getting into a cab was fun!), but the tightness is the whole point of the dress and it looked amazing! My husband was like "Woah, let's buy this one." ;-)

I wish I had a picture because this outfit was amazing - I got compliments from total strangers all night! It's totally unique, stylish, carefree, and can be dressed up or down. The most comfortable thing I've worn in ages. Go by your upper body size, not hips, to choose your size! I am slender but pear-shaped with a very small top (32/34B, 0-2) but much wider hips/butt (6-8) and a long torso and the 0R fit PERFECTLY. I noticed in many pictures that the 2 is pretty loose in the waist on most wearers who said they are a 2, so went with the 0. It fit like a glove on top and the hips are totally roomy. The one downside is it was NOT as long as other reviews led me to think! I wish they had a Long size. I am 5'7" and had to wear flats and the hem just nearly reached the floor but not quite.

Wore this to a formal evening wedding reception and got so many compliments. The color blocking and cut are so stand-out and the fit is incredibly comfortable!! You look chic and yet feel like you're in pajamas :) I ordered the 2L and 4L - I'm tallish and wanted to wear heels, it was the perfect length. Both sizes fit (a little squeeze to get over my hips, which are quite curvy for my frame, but Spanx help ;-)), but the 4 fit my waistline better. (The 2 is shorter in the waist, but not much tighter than the 4. If you have a long torso, the 2 might mask your waistline.) The skirt part is amazingly loose and swings comfortably. However the material can cling, and shows your shape as you move, so I recommend Spanx to smooth out any lines.

This dress is absolutely gorgeous - it falls perfectly and moves beautifully. I wish I could keep it!! I got compliments all night. I felt like Kate Middleton! Neckline: The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the neckline, as other reviewers have mentioned, is quite low and difficult to secure. I actually love that element because it adds a sexy edge to an otherwise classic look. I have a small chest so it worked for me, but I will say- FASHION TAPE is your friend!! I taped along the inside of the neckline and also taped the base of the "v" together (rather than pinning). Sizing: I am normally a Small in dresses, but sized up to the medium for this one. The small fit like a glove, but the medium gave me a softer and prettier drape and flowy folds, which I loved. I'm almost 5'7" and I wore a three-inch heel and it was about an inch or less off the ground, which I also liked so you could get glimpses of the shoes. I HIGHLY recommend wearing Spanx. :)
