Im a pear, and my hips were comfortable all night. I regret that did not order the "back up" size in an 18. An 18 would have lightly hugged my best curves. The 20 I wore was a bit too big in the chest and high waist. Nonetheless, I would rent this again. The lines/cut and weight of the fabric accentuates the curves you want to show off while downplaying the parts you like hide.
