I rented this for an 80s party, but it would be great in a contemporary setting as well. The material was very soft and comfortable, and the look is great! Definitely size down for your back up.

I rented this for a fancy dinner out and felt like a million bucks in it. I wanted something I would be comfortable eating a multi course meal in (while looking fabulous), and this definitely delivered. While the fabric has little give, the sheath-like fit and generous proportions around the hips and stomach kept me comfortable throughout the evening. I cannot day enough good things about the color - it was both eye poppingly gorgeous and super flattering. The slit did come up quite high when seated, but with a napkin on my lap, it was fine. Would highly recommend for a fancy night out or elegant occasion - it may show a bit too much leg for an office event or church crowd though.

Wore this to a fancy cocktail event and LOVED it. The colors in this dress are vibrant and sophisticated, the fit (once you find the right size) is wildly flattering, the material is silky and lovely, and you end up looking effortlessly chic and polished. Do size down, I'm wearing a medium in the pic on the left, and the small on the right. I'm usually a medium or larger, and was really glad I followed the advice to size down for my second size. The small worked perfectly, and I felt comfortable all evening. I'm considering hunting this one down so I can keep it in my closet at all times, in case there's an effortlessly chic and polished emergency I have to attend to.

I rented this for a fancy cocktail party, and while I loved the colors, pattern, feel and floaty movement of the material, it felt a bit precariously short on my 5'11 frame. Had the weather called for tights, I might have given it a go. For the rest of the fit, I suppose I could have sized down, but I thought this style was more suited to being loose on one's frame. Anyhow, it's a lovely dress, and I highly recommend it to ladies a few inches shorter, a few years younger, or a few degrees braver than myself!

I rented this for a garden wedding, but at the last minute decided to go with my back up dress due to worries about the back trailing on wet ground (the other dress was knee length). While my back up dress was perfect, I wish I had another wedding I could wear this one to. The material has some weight to it, but still moves beautifully, and even under the harsh dressing room lighting, it looked sumptuous. I'm wearing the 8L in this photo (my normal dress size), but ultimately preferred the fit of the 6L - though if you're busty it may be more true to size. The straps were a great length, and seemed secure. Still hoping to find another occasion to re-rent this one!

Loved this dress. The fabric feels amazing, and has a nice weight to it. Was ideal for both the chilly early April evening, but not so heavy that I couldn't dance in it later. I was able to wear a regular racer back bra, and some spanx solved all my worries about the form fitting torso. I'm pretty pear shaped, which made the tulip hem cut a bit higher than it does on the model, but it still lay beautifully while standing, and a well placed napkin and/or clutch kept me decent while sitting. Would have like to try the 46 to see if the larger size resolved that issue, but the 44 fit well in every other regard. Highly recommend.
