I rented this dress at 32 weeks pregnant for a friend's wedding and it was perfect. The material is thick and high quality, but very stretchy and comfortable to accommodate the bump. For reference, I'm normally a size 4 but had gained about 15 pregnancy lbs by the time I wore the dress - the 8R was a perfect fit.
