This dress is a stunner! Fits true to size.
Pre-COVID I reliably wore a size 0P in all dresses, but with some COVID weight gain, I wasn't 100% sure what size gown I now wore (I went from 101 lbs to 116 lbs). With that in mind, I rented a 0 with a 2 as a backup. The 2 was only available in a long, which was unfortunate since I'm just a hair under 5 ft tall. As I thought might be the case, the 0 was too small in my hips (I am pear shaped) but fit everywhere else. The 2 fit wonderfully however, and was incredibly flattering! This is definitely a figure-hugging dress with no room to hide. The "long" was unsurprisingly way too long, which fixed by taping up the black underlayer. The gold lace overlayer was a bit long too (only by about an inch) but it didn't get in my way in the front and in the back just functioned like a train so I did not need to tape that part up (see the photo for how the "long" fit with no alterations to the gold overlayer part). I wore 4" heels in this size long, making me about 5'4", so I wonder whether even in the long fit this dress would be too short if you are really tall. This dress has a built-in bra which is nice since the back is somewhat low, but I ended up wearing a padded bra anyways because I'm only a 32A and I couldn't fill out the built-in bra otherwise. Overall, I absolutely loved this dress. I felt really glamorous and received compliments all night long. I highly recommend it!

I rented this dress as a backup, and I did not end up wearing it. It was too big.
Pre-Covid I wore a 0 or 00 petite in all dresses, but with some Covid weight gain a size 0 can sometimes be a little small on me. However, I rented this dress as a backup in a size 0P, since I read a number of reviews saying it fits large (spoiler: it does!). In the end, I ended up wearing a different dress that I'd ordered in a 0 and a 2. The 0 in the other dress was a bit snug and the 2 fit perfectly (I say all this to point out that in most clothing I now wear a 2). In comparison, the 0 in this dress was way too big. A 0 in this dress was probably comparable to a 4 in the other dress, and in fact most other dresses. I am pear shaped and this dress was NOT flattering. It is a very heavy fabric that is somewhat stiff, so instead of molding to your body shape it just hangs straight up and down. That was a problem for me because while I have big hips, I have a tiny waist, and because of the way this dress hangs it does not cinch in the waist and it makes me look like I'm big all the way down. If this dress had a way to cinch you in at the waist it would be so much more flattering. That said, I do love the color and the way it fits across the shoulders! I think if you are a straight up and down body type this would be very flattering but it is not for pear-shaped girls trying to emphasize that small waist!

This is my favorite dress that I've rented! I felt very glamorous and received many compliments.
I rented a 0P and this is definitely the best fitting dress I've rented from Rent the Runway. I am 4'11, 105 lbs, 32A, and pear-shaped, and quite often the dresses are huge on me. This one fit almost perfectly, and I loved that it was stretchy and not too tight, which made it very comfortable and gave me room to dance and eat a meal. If I owned this dress I would probably have it taken in just slightly in the torso/bust but for a one-time rental it wasn't that noticeable. I should note that the 0P was almost a touch short for me with the 3-1/2" heels I was wearing, and I'm just under 5' tall! If you are any taller than me and want to wear heels I would recommend not going with the petite length.

Glamorous Dress but Fits Large
This is an absolutely gorgeous dress but be warned - it fits large, especially if you have a small waist. For the sake of comparison, I am just a hair under 5' tall, 100 lbs, 32A, and pear-shaped. I rented the smallest size available (0R). With 4" heels on the dress dragged on the ground a bit but it was only about 1/2" too long. If you are taller than 5' you will have to wear shorter heels (and it might be too short entirely if you are taller than 5'4"). The fit was good in the hips, shoulders, and chest. However, it was HUGE in the waist/stomach. I seriously could have worn this as a maternity dress - there was that much room in the torso. Perhaps if you are built straight up and down instead of pear/curvy this will work better for you. I saved the look with a belt and ended up receiving a ton of compliments on the dress, but if I hadn't been able to order that belt online at the last minute I would have just looked baggy and sloppy instead of glamorous. The photo on the left is the dress with the emergency belt I bought, and the photo on the right is how the dress fit me without a belt - shapeless and baggy in the torso/waist.

Beautiful and sophisticated
I loved this dress! It was almost a perfect fit - just a little large on the sides where the bands wrap across the ribs. For reference, I am 4'11", 32A, and 101 lbs. It hit below my knees.

Beautiful Dress!
I wore this for a friend's formal wedding and I got compliments ALL night long! I really did feel like a princess!! My apologies for the crappy picture in a dusty mirror - I just wanted to give you an idea of the fit. I usually wear a 0 or a 00, and the size 0 fit just fine. It was a little baggy in the top, but that was nothing that some fashion tape and the belt couldn't fix! As others have pointed out, this dress is REALLY short. I got the regular length, thinking I would most likely have to hem it up with tape. However, it turned out that it was the perfect length once I added 3-1/2 inch heels. Keep in mind that I am just slightly under 5 feet tall, so with the heels, that meant the dress was only about 5'4" long. So if you are even an inch taller than me, you had better pick shorter heels (or flats). And if you are taller than 5'4", it will most likely be too short no matter the shoe. This was perfect for me though, because it meant no hemming required :) All in all, I would highly recommend this dress. In fact, I wish I could have kept it!
