The dress was perfect with my over-the-knee boots and leather jacket to view Jason Wu's spring and fall line in his showroom in NYC. Cute style but not something I'd own - with the jacket over it, the dress was less youthful and more for my age!

Has a cinched waist so it gave me shape while the light loose material felt comfortable and no need to wear spanx or suck in my tummy all night. I ordered the 12 and 10 as a backup and ended up wearing the smaller dress. Only downside was that it was missing a button to close in the back and there were holes by the top neck area. No one else noticed so it was overall great! Highly recommended

I rented this dress as a back-up for a Gala in New York City. The original just didn't work and I ended up wearing and loving this dress! it was super comfortable and had some stretch to it so I was able to move around and sit comfortably all evening. It showed off my figure and made me look older than I actually was - I felt so confident in it. I would recommend this dress to anyone as I think it would look amazing on any type of body.

Got so many compliments! This rental didn't work for my daughter who ordered this as her first choice. She went with another dress and I got lucky to wear this one to a Gala we were all attending in New York City (mid-November). At first I wasn't sure about the cut-out, but it was tasteful and really made me feel edgy at this event. I highly recommend renting this dress as I felt so cool and sophisticated, but definitely not too showy or uncomfortable. I added my own jewelry and went for strappy shoes to complete the look I wanted.

I ordered two dresses for an occasion and ended up wearing the other one - didn't know that there was a lot of skin showing under the arms - like the idea of the "off the shoulder" look, but didn't know how to then wear something to cover my skin on my sides. It turned out not to be appropriate for the event, but it is a pretty (and very comfortable) dress. Not forgiving - I could have worn the 38, but in order to have the top flow-y and the skirt not to tight, I would have gone with the 40.

I ordered this and another dress for a cocktail party/benefit for our local hospital and found this to be the right choice as it was edgy, but covered me where the other one didn't. It was so comfortable - didn't have to suck in the stomach to cruise the buffet! I loved how the skirt part underneath was shorter than the sheer overlay - sexy, but not over-the-top. My daughter said it didn't show my shape, but since it wasn't that kind of party, I felt perfectly dressed. The earrings gave it that rock-and-roll look without trying to pass for 20-something. Got a lot of compliments! I can't wait to order items again with Rent the Runway...oh, I also told my friends, when they asked, all about my "find" and how it all works. I have rented before and hit a home run with that outfit as well. Never rented accessories, but certainly will again.

i am a huge fan of nicole miller apparel as i know how it fits me - this dress was bought for a "funky" black-tie event for the Humane Society of the United States -- it was so comfortable and perfectly appropriate for the September time-frame that it was. My friends could not believe i rented this and were going to check out what they could find for their next occasion! i cannot wait to rent something again!
