Rent the set!
Skirt is fairly unremarkable cotton peasant skirt on its own but with the bustier matching top it is perfect! Very flattering and fun for summer or a beach vaca

I sized down and the waist was still a bit big on me. I loved the idea of these, but I found myself adjusting them a lot to get them to drape just right. Ultimately an interesting rental but no urge to keep this one or re-wear.

I have narrow shoulders and agree that the shoulders are fairly unforgiving, but for me it worked well. Loved the little details like the pocket lining. Easy to wear for a fancy work event from day to night!

Weird thick swimsuit fabric that was so weirdly slouchy at the front and a gaping opening that would show my underwear unless I used a hair tie to secure it. Maybe it would work as a swimsuit cover up but it’s so thick? Took it on vacay and never wore it.

So versatile and polished casual
I wore this so many times — both with the built-in vest and as a normal cardigan. I layered under it (tissue turtleneck) and over it (denim shirt). It’s perfectly polished for lounging or everyday. The only complaint is the buttons on the built in vest are tiny and the holes are flimsy - I still felt ok just wearing a bra underneath but I’m a B cup.

Quality but problematic in a few ways
I love the idea of this dress. It’s thick wool, fun to style, perfect for bringing some excitement to a winter wardrobe. But the execution leaves something to be desired - first, you must layer under the dress. The top was so big on me in my normal size that the straps fell off my shoulder constantly and it would be completely revealing. Second, it is a true wrap dress and looks gorgeous when you move, showing quite a bit of leg, but when you sit it fully opens up your leg. I had to strategically safety pin it closed, which ruins the effect a bit. Still liked this but I hate fussing with my clothes all day.

Classy red dress if a little twee
Rented this and another red dress as options for my company holiday party. Ended up choosing to wear the other dress so I wore this on a nice date for Xmas eve with my husband. Not totally my style (the cape is interesting but it felt a little twee?) but I did get compliments on it. Fit well, maybe even a bit roomy.

Kind of like a really stylish couch upholstery?
Lukewarm on this dress. Granted, it was flattering and stretchy on a day when literally nothing else was fitting me, but it also made me sweat SO badly. Like I felt like I smelled like sweat — idk what the deal was but guessing it’s just the good old-fashioned unlined poly armpits? Anyway the sleeves are really cute but if you have boobs (I do not) the top puffs open in a way that could be very revealing.

Sized up and glad I did. Fabric is thick with some stretch so even though this ran incredibly small it worked for my office holiday party. Went for a retro look and felt really comfortable and sexy (in the most professional sense, obviously). Would work best on someone who has a more proportionate top/bottom ratio, but if you’ve got it, you can flaunt it in this for sure.

Layerable and so versatile
Initially I kind of expected more from this jacket — it’s unlined and kind of limp(?) in person. The collar doesn’t have much backing or heft. But it is super soft (cashmere wool blend) and even though the zipper was a tiny bit busted I wore this thing everywhere. Great for layering, dressing up or down. I ordered up a size so I could layer a vest or big sweater underneath and an 8 was perfect.

Warm wool that runs a bit small

Small but stretches over the day
Ok I was skeptical because the waist on this looked impossibly small. But it was comfortable to wear and by the time I got off the train for my morning commute I think this fit perfectly! Loved how it’s a stretchy thick (wool) sweater and the trim is heavy so it’s nicely weighted at the hem too.

Wore this with the matching top. I’m a solid medium but this was tiiiight on me. Stretchy in a flattering way but I definitely felt like my uh assets were on display at work. Super high waisted and sucked me in for sure so if that’s the vibe then your normal size would be fine. Fabric is pretty thick. I liked this but didn’t want to rewear.

Felt like Joan Holloway from Mad Men
This knit is SO soft and I was worried the knit skirt would stretch and look cheap but it is a very thick double layer. I pretty consistently wear a 6 and the waist was a bit loose. The skirt is a perfect just-below-knee length and warm enough for fall/winter. Wore as a matching set to work and got lots of compliments! Felt really comfy and retro chic all day.

Loved the idea, looked better on the model
I followed all the reviews and sized down to a 4. I’m normally a 6ish (6-8) and have a 🍑. I loved these joggers in theory but in practice they were just a tiny bit too long and generally looked less polished in person. I wore them with my heeled chelsea Dr Martens and a merino collared pullover. Pains me to say these really are best on a slimmer, less curvy lower half. Material was a poly blend and a bit thinner than expected FYI
