Definitely size up. I'm usually a six, and definitely needed the 10 in this dress. The 8 was ok, but too tight to wear all day. Wore this to a polo match.

Stunning dress - great fabric, structure, neckline
I rented this for a luncheon where I received an award and law school graduation. The color is immaculate - so vividly deep purple with blue undertones. The fabric is lovely - internal silk with blended materials on the outside. Fit perfectly. I'm 5'4", 160 with a 28 inch waist. The draping back was beautiful and still appropriate for a professional event. I wore spanx and a strapless bra. I'd suggest spanx because the material is a little thin overall. The hemline is a bit narrow though; so be forewarned that you don't have full range of motion to walk. Wasn't bad at all though. The dress does stretch out a bit. Definitely would rent again, or perhaps buy.

Gorgeous color and fit!
I wore this for a holiday party and loved it! Beautiful color, so rich and deep pink. The fabric is stretchy enough to be comfortable, and hit at the perfect length for me. Only thing I personally like more is a bit more structure through the chest. Given that it was lace, I thought I could go bra-less, but the slip underneath is actually quite sheer so you need a bra with this one for sure. Otherwise, a gorgeous dress! Oh, and one other small caveat - I have a pretty small waist, and given that there's very little structure to this, it sort of hung loose in between my bust and hips. If you are looking for more form fitting, I'd size down if you are small waisted compared to your bust and hips.

The slit was far too high
I rented this for a work holiday party, thinking that the photos made it look relatively modest enough for that kind of event. Unfortunately, even with the larger size I rented, which would have been loose everywhere else, the slit ran all the way up to my pelvis. You can actually see your underwear when you walk in this. So, even with pantyhose or something similar, it still doesn't help much. Its a gorgeous fabric and color, but I wouldn't recommend renting this one for almost any occasion unfortunately.

Gorgeous soft fit, low cut but manegable
I loved this dress! The color is beautiful and deep navy. The lace is very high quality, sturdy, and structured but still moveable. I'm 5'4, 155, but with a relatively small waist (measurements 38, 26, 40), so I wore the small. The medium was too large in the shoulders and way too low cut for me. Even wearing the small, I tried with sticky cups and it wore nicely but was a little too booby for the particular event I went to. Think you can do it either way though. I ended up not wearing the sticky bra and felt great. Overall lovely dress and perfect for a fancy dinner / Broadway show. Would rent again!

Unfortunately didn't fit - would avoid if have larger or muscular forearms
Lovely cuff, but I am a swimmer and do crossfit so have muscular forearms and this cuff did not fit. Would only recommend if you have slender wrists and forearms!

Gorgeous off the shoulder and perfect length
Loved this gown. Beautiful blush color that I imagine would look good on all skin tones. I think it's fairly true to size. I'm normally a 6 but a little heavier these days so the 8R fit perfectly. Was a little snug at first but it actually loosened up a bit. Right now I'm 5'4" and 155 - very muscular and athletic build with a muscular back. If you have a wider back perhaps think of upsizing. I would also agree with others that if you have a large bust go a size up as well. I am a B cup so I think that's probably how I got away with a size 8. Otherwise the length was perfect. Similar to a wedding dress I got pretty hot though, so would not recommend for warmer climates outdoors. It has gorgeous silk lining and heavy fabric so gets a little swampy! But otherwise I loved this gown and would totally rent again!

Super soft and comfy material - delicate details and not too revealing. I'm 5'4" and 155 and wore a medium and could have done a small. But glad it was M because it was for work.

Perfect fit, great movement and color!
I *loved* this dress. Super comfy, gorgeous bright red color. I am 5'4" and about 150, athletic/curvy build. My only hesitation is that if you don't have a relatively smaller waist to your hips (i.e. a straighter frame), you might not get the same effect or fit. I didn't wear a bra, and the material was thick enough that you couldn't notice. I didn't try the 6 on because I tried the 8 first and it fit perfectly. I'm typically a 6, but lately these days a little bigger so I'd say this dress probably runs true to size :)

Perfect for a derby - great fit, soft, comfortable, flowy
Wore this to the Virginia Gold Cup. Beautiful tulle gave it a great shape for me. I'm an athletic build with muscular legs and muscular back (thanks to years of swimming), so it accentuates anyone with a small waist and muscular build. Super soft material, great lining (didn't wear a bra! But I am a B cup). I think it pairs great with blue accessories (I wore blue and white t-strap heels). Beautiful! Definitely recommend for an outdoor summer-y affair.
