Ballet gala
I'm about 5'2 and usually wear size 0. I ordered the xs - while the length was not a problem because it's got elastic at the ankles, it ran much too big on top and the gaping openness fell at a weird place because there was too much material. Wish it has been more tailored because it's well made a cute.

This is a pretty color and looks much like it did in the pictures. While usually I like pockets I did feel like the gapped just a little bit in the XS (the S was was too big on me). It was an ok dress, but nothing wowwed me about it.

Wore to my daughter's school fundraising gala.
I loved this dress! I ordered the 2 and 4 but probably could have worn the 0 although with the cape you couldn't tell that it was a little big. Wore with a statement necklace and got a million compliments. Wish I could have kept it and would consider renting again. I would not recommend for warm climates/summer however. Material is definitely better for wintertime/cold venues.

Cute dress
I'm usually a zero, but the top part of this was cut very short so went a size up to 2. It was very cute and good coverup for any hip and thigh issues that the spanx doesn't take care of. Not the most eye popping dress, but it was fun.

Colleague's wedding
This dress fit to size - maybe a little big in the arms. It was very cute - maybe a little age inappropriate for someone in 40's - but very slimming. My only complaint is that it was very heavy - not sure what the material is made of, but definitely not a summer dress. I've never worn a formal dress with this much material.

Got a zillion compliments at bridal shower
Wore this to SIL bridal shower (daytime affair in nice restaurant) and it was perfection! Would have been equally appropriate for nighttime formal affair. It fit perfectly (fitted through body and roomy in legs, so no need for spanx IMO). Needs statement piece for necklace to liven up color, which was beautiful deep purple. My future SIL (pictured left) also in RTR dress and introduced me to this site. I'm addicted. Best rental yet!

It was my daughter's graduation from elementary school. I got about 1,000 compliments on the dress!
It was soft and nice fabric. I found the top by the arms to be a little low cut, so had to wear strapless bra with it. I ordered the 0 and the 2 - the 0 was better on the top (and didn't come down so low under the arms), but it also flared out too much on the skirt part so I went with the 2.

As mentioned by other posters, this dress runs very large!
It is a beautiful and well made dress, but I would recommend staying away if you are petite. I'm 5'2 and usually a size 0 or 2 in most designers, but the size 0 was swimming on me and made me look huge. Too much material for small frames. Next time I'll read the reviews for people of my size better!
