What happened?
I was thrilled to get this NWT, but something’s off. Manufacturing issue? The fit is odd, as noted in the first review. I’ve rented this Staud dress style in other patterns, no issue. I checked Staud’s website, size guide, and garment measurements. I even sized up this time, but it’s weirdly snug in the hips.

This is why I rent! This sweater pulls off the Tibi runway silhouettes in a way that actually translates to real life. Beautiful color! Long sleeves that are tall friendly. It's super warm, though. Best suited for cold offices, planes, or chilly climates. Slight itch to note. The fit is oversized with a front split, so be careful sizing down or it will ride up.

Not real denim, but it’s cosplaying well. Fabric is lighter but still structured. The color is “meh”, so the pearl buttons add pizzazz (though not very secure, so maybe don’t size down). Pick your undergarments carefully to dodge VPL. Flats were best for my height. (Worn with the matching jacket + Sandro Emile Ruffle Sleeve Cardigan as a base layer.)

The side pleats add flair but dip awkwardly at the hips, unless you’re a straight and narrow body type. The model’s look is a bit misleading, with a pink cardigan cleverly hiding the design flaw. The thin cotton fabric isn’t winter friendly. Sad I wasted a spot on these.

Katherine (first reviewer) nailed it with her photo. The coat looks just like that. No matter how I styled it, it was a fashion fail. The only hero in this saga? The red belt. I didn’t even bother snapping a pic. This coat is like a missed opportunity at a costume party. It’s got a killer red interior opposite the black puffer side, and snazzy pinstripes on the sleeve lining. Imagine if it could be reversed! So much potential, but alas, it’s a swing and a miss.

I ended up using this bag plus a separate mini bag and it worked out fine. I hope they try to rework this bag in the future. It’s got a lot of potential.
