This was perfect for a black tie optional winter wedding. Note, it just fit me zipping up and I have small boobs and a proportionally larger ribcage (36A) so size accordingly! Length worked well, I am 5-10 with 2 inch heels in this photo. Anyone shorter might want to size down or plan for higher heels as the dress was just grazing the floor.

I so wanted this to fit and read a lot of reviews - I have a wide ribcage and small boobs (36A) and didn’t want it to be too revealing, so I sized up to a large and used fashion tape to hold it down, and it worked great. It was extremely comfortable and breathable to wear even in the upper 70s.

I didn't end up wearing this because I have wide hips and larger thighs. I didn't realize how incompatible that was with the slit - just because it goes so high up, the slit would have been permanently open exposing about 6 horizontal inches of my thighs. That's a lot in the first place, but since the slit goes to high, it was definitely impossible to wear. Just consider your shape before buying - I wish it could have worked for me because it was gorgeous!

I rented this for a beach wedding in Maine. It was so fun for the occasion, it's hard to tell but there is like green woven into the gold accent and it looks beautiful. This was a perfect fit for an early fall wedding in the South, where it was still warm. The dress fit super well. I read the reviews about the hips and the dress is definitely fitted, but it worked great for me.
