Bodice was tight on the size 4. Typically I can wear a size 2 dress with a flared skirt. After reading other reviews though, I opted to size up and am happy I did. The color is much prettier in person as there is a bit of a sheen to the silver threading throughout. The high-low hemline is an eye catching feature and can be very flattering. The pleats along the waist were more stiff than I anticipated, causing the dress to poof at the waist more than I would have liked, but overall it was a very lovely dress. I received many compliments on it and had no issues with comfort the entire time I wore it.

Pros: I really wanted to wear this dress and was excited to try it on when it arrived. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the beading on the shoulder has tones of blue in it. It was very lovely. The draping on the front and back of the dress was classy and comfortable. Cons: WAY TOO SHORT. I'm just about 5'5" and was assured by a stylist that the regular length would work perfectly for my height. Unfortunately when I put the dress on, it fell right above my ankles. It was laughably short, really. The zipper puckered at the side too, so there was no smooth silhouette. No matter how much I tried keeping the dress down, it refused to lay flat. I tried on the size 0 too, which lay better on the hips, but it was obviously even shorter and the arm hole was super tight. Bottom line: I didn't wear this dress. I suppose it would have worked in a long size.

Pros: The color and sparkle of this dress was fantastic. The deep black offset by the sequins was perfect for an evening gala. The length was just right. With 3 inch heels the gown was just grazing the floor and swished satisfactorly around my feet without tripping me up as I walked. The deep v in the back of the dress was sexy without being too revealing. Cons: Having a smaller bust, I needed some extra "oomph" to help the dress fit appropriately in the front without exposing me to the world. I wore a nubra (stick on, backless silicone) and used quite a bit of fashion double-stick tape to keep the top of the dress secure. The straps were a little loose since I taped the dress up, but still stayed on my shoulders without slipping even while dancing. Bottom line: This dress is very pretty and classy, even with the plunging neckline. I felt beautiful in it despite my reservations about the bust area. I didn't have a problem with straps digging into my shoulders as some had mentioned, but this really could be because of my masterful taping job and smaller bust.

Fit: The fit seemed to be true to size. Since I have a smaller bust but larger hips, because of the flare of the skirt I was able to wear the size smaller that came with the rental and ended up wearing the size 0. The cut of the dress was low cut, but not so low I felt immodest at a wedding. The adjustable straps were an added bonus. There was an issue with the lining of the dress slipping up under the arm on one side, but it wasn't too noticeable, I was probably the only one who noticed it. Pros: Flowy, beautiful cut, and lovely detail at the bust. Comfortable for a summer wedding. Cons: The zipper was very difficult, I was afraid I was going to tear the dress. Thankfully that did not happen!
