Tight in the hips in medium but too large up top with large. No give whatsoever in hips as others have stated. If you're more curvy with a long torso you may struggle as I did. Still beautiful and no regrets but I wouldn't rent it again, though I would try the designer again as the style and quality were top notch. Had to pull up over hips to sit down and cover slit area with my scarf to be sure it wouldn't tear!

The fabric is nice and thick which made for smooth lines; there is some stretch but not enough to accommodate fuller hips without sizing up. Optional black tie event and I didn't feel underdressed. Probably a more ideal dress for ladies with a more narrow hip than mine- often dresses are either too tight in my hips or too loose on top. Had I gone any larger size wise the shoulders and chest/ribs would've been too loose. Overall it was a great rental but it was hard to take big steps on account of the tight hips. Athletic narrower hipped gals this is the dress for you!

Fabric wasn't as nice as most rtr dresses, lace sleeves and shoulders were tight and short and I don't consider myself as broad shouldered. Overall looked nice but not something I would rent again.

At first I had on the 6, but as I walked around the house it seemed to stretch a tad so I opted for the 4. The whole dress is fitted but there is stretch (hourglass girls be happy). So many compliments and people telling me they wanted to own the dress, nice thick quality fabric. Color is a light mint in person but didn't look too white at a wedding. This brand will be one of my new favorites. Comfortable all night, hit just below my knee. Didn't wear a bra and felt supported. I have a long torso and it still fit snug in the right places.

Perfect dress for a white party in a garden setting. Loved the pockets, openness of back (did not wear bra) and I was able to wear flats and still look cute. It was a tad shorter than I anticipated, but still worked. Drawback: every 15 minutes or so I would notice the zipper was undone halfway down my back which was disappointing- I would've expected more with the high quality of the rest of the dress. Order smaller size for a backup- you'll be glad you did if you have a narrow ribcage like myself!

This was my favorite rental! Beautiful back, rich shiny fabric, totally unique style that stood out. Half conservative half striking/risqué I couldn't have picked a more ME dress. Occasionally the snaps came undone when I sat down but I do have a really long torso I think that's why. I would order up for the backup size.

in the photo, it looks like there is almost draping across the chest- not so much in person. Overall, a nice little black dress, true to size and good fit, the shoulder embellishment was just more feminine than what I usually prefer. The fabric wasn't shiny as I had envisioned- more of a linen like blend? nice LBD, just preferred the other dress I'd rented.

Unfortunately the 42 was damaged beyond repair and I only had the option of the 44 which was too large in the waist and chest- I did some impromptu temporary tailoring and was able to wear the dress. The fit was beautiful, the fabric is gorgeous, and the design is classy yet modern. I would have given a 5 star rating if the 42 had been available! RTR customer service did give me a replacement credit due to the situation and they were very helpful. Great dress I would love to own :)

Overall the dress is chic and stunning. Fit: tight in the hips and behind! It's obvious others had the same issue as the seam at the back zipper was ripped open several inches- I had to hand stitch it before able to wear the dress (both the 4 and the 6 had the same issue with the open seam). Chest was tight but not uncomfortable. Tons of compliments very chic. If you ever struggle with a dress being tight in the hips I would advise a different dress as there is NO stretch- sizing up to comfort could make the top too loose if you are hippy like me :) (my larger backup was still very tight in hips- hard to bend or sit)
