I decided close to the weekend of my anniversary that I wanted to dress up in something special, so I hit rent the runway. Of the available dresses, I liked this one the best. I felt a little overdressed at the Italian restaurant and cocktail bar we went to, but perfectly pretty for my husband. The sequins are a little scratchy against the arms, and it didn't define my waist as well as I would have liked, but all in all it was a good pick.

Unfortunately, the dress became unavailable in my backup size (which Rent the Runway took care of by letting me get another dress - RTR customer service is great!), and my regular size was too big. Had it fit, this would have been a perfectly appropriate dress for the September church wedding I was attending.

I got these as a gift rental when my backup dress size was not able to be delivered. I'm not normally a huge blingy earring wearer, but I gave these a shot and they were a nice extra bit of glam. They are a bit heavy, which didn't bother me except when jumping up and down when dancing at the end of the wedding!

I got tons of compliments and kept extolling RTRs praises throughout the weekend. The fabric is beautiful The fit up top was a little off (very wide neckline and a little more room in the bust than I needed) and I had to readjust a couple times, but overall it worked very well and I would recommend it. I found that even a strapless bra peeked out at the underarms, but it has thick fabric and a fitted underbust, so I had no problem skipping the bra. A note for anyone renting a dress for an event in Vegas: UPS locations on the strip charge a handling fee ($8 in this case), even though the shipping is prepaid by RTR.

I loved this dress so much that if it were still available for sale via Theory I'd consider buying it. I wore it to a wedding weekend welcome reception and got a ton of compliments. I accessorized it with a gold statement necklace similar to the recommended one, and it looked great.

This is a very pretty dress, but unfortunately I misjudged the size (I ordered a size 40 as a backup on my first-ever RTR order) and wasn't able to zip up past my ribcage. I think anyone with a 36 band size would probably want at least a 42, if not a 44. I had some concerns about the formality of the dress after seeing reviews saying the fabric was more matte that it appeared in the picture, but it would have been perfectly appropriate for the fall wedding at a fancy hotel that I was attending.

I wasn't sure what size to wear, as this was my first rental and I don't own a lot of dresses (especially not recently purchased or higher-end ones), so I don't really know what my "usual" size is (I wear size 4 jeans). The 4 fit well enough to wear, but I think the 6 would have been optimal. This was a great dress for a wedding, and my fiance loved it, too! I will definitely use RTR again.
