Flirty and cute

This dress had a very classic and cute look to it. I feel it might be time to rotate it out though as the liner that is sown on the inside of the neck must have gotten pressed funny at the cleaners before they sent it or something because it kept trying pop out like a ruffley bib. Once it was tucked in, it was ok for a while. The black ruffle skirt bottom was super cute but I must say that sometimes I wondered if my behind was peaking out because it felt drafty back there. I have a bubble butt and feel like maybe it was making the back side flare more than it should have. I felt breezes when loading my toddler in the car a couple of times and thought oh no, the skirt is flipping up in the wind! But it wasn't thankfully. It was definitely about 2 inches above the knee and with the suspected flare and draft in the back, I don't know if I'd rent this for work again, and wouldn't recommend it if you were going to be outside as it was easily ruffled in a breeze. The main body of the dress fit beautifully and I really did like it. If I was sitting or standing still that is.

Classic with a flare!

I wore this to work and received several compliments, especially on the sleeve detail. I did double knot them as other reviews stated that they came undone if you didn't. But honestly, they looked fine without being knotted. I didn't want to deal with dangly sleeves. The dress was a heavier material than I expected, but that was perfect for spring time. It hit about an inch or two above my knee which was fine for work, but any shorter and it wouldn't have been. The stitching across the chest made the dress less boxy and have some shape to it. I wore a chunky necklace with it and heels. This dress is very versatile and a great basic, classic style that would look good on different body types. I have wider hips and it wasn't snug nor did it create a weird box effect like some shift dresses do. I could see how if you had a chest bigger than mine it might be tight. I didn't need shapeware, and I felt confident in it at work and out after with a friend. This is on my list to rotate in on my Unlimited subscription!

Cute but practical

As other reviewers have stated, it was a MUCH thicker material than I expected. It was a knit material and it was heavier in weight. It was a shift dress, so while it is a bit boxy, it still came in at the waist a little and didn't make me look like a blob, which I was afraid of since I'm petite and it happens all too often. The dress hit an inch or so above the knee and wasn't too prudish, was still sassy and cute yet very work appropriate. Any shorter and it would have been maybe too short for me, but tights and boots would have helped that situation out. I wore black patent platform heels and big jewelry which made it feel more "mod". I was complimented several times when I wore it and would rent again!

Structured yet fun

On the hanger the dress looked boxy and like it might be too big but once I got it on, I loved it. I paired it with a chunky necklace and a black heel. It was slightly above knee length on me and not inappropriate for work at all. It was super cute on and I received several compliments the two times I wore it as part of my Unlimited plan. The dress has a little give to it, is a heavier fabric and isn't fussy so you can actually go about your day without worrying about how it is laying or hanging on you nor did I worry about it wrinkling. It's low maintenance but makes you feel dressy and classy. Highly recommend this dress and would love to get it again!

Classic Styling with a Twist

This dress is form fitting but the fabric has a nice stretch to it. It's a heavier weight fabric and doesn't cling but is forgiving and flattering. It has nice darting and structure so even when you sit at a desk the dress looks great. The skirt portion is a bit longer than on the model, as I'm short. The dress was slightly awkward walking up stairs as I couldn't really elongate my stride and getting into my SUV was a little different, but it wasn't impractical by any means. The slits at the shoulders have a mesh or nylon fabric sown in there so it's not a true slit. It looks very nice and keeps the outer shoulder portion up and on. I felt sophisticated without feeling overly formal and it was appropriate for a business meeting I held with a client at work. It didn't have too much of that sexy little black dress feel for the office, but I can see with the right shoes and accessories how it could be worn that way. Loved this dress and would rent again for sure!

Simple and classic.

It was a little confusing to figure out how to operate it. There are several clasps. Once I got the clasp situation figured out, I put it on and had to find the right notch to put it on so it hung symmetrically around my neck without one necklace angled left and the other right instead of one above the other. I didn't have issues with it tangling much. My only issue was that the knot was heavier than the "love" and it would descend and pull the love up so it was opposite of the picture. It still looked great. It hit below my collar bone and wasn't short nor long. It wasn't flashy but an understated accent that complimented my overall outfit. It could go with a nice dress like I had (not black tie worthy but still classic) or it would look great with a top and jeans.

Classic style with a twist

I ordered both the size 6 and size 8 as I read other reviews that said it ran small. I'm glad I did. The size 6 fit like a GLOVE and while I looked fabulous in it, I couldn't use the bathroom in a reasonable manner as it was too tight to hoist the skirt portion up and unzipping the skin tight dress was not feasible on my own. So I went with the size 8. It was a bit big in the shoulders and chest area, but not too much so. I just don't have a large chest. It still looked like a million bucks and I turned heads all day. It was a thick material so it wasn't clingy. I didn't require any kind of shapewear. But be warned. I stepped into the dress and zipped to put it on. But when you wriggle the skirt up to pee, your undies will get bunched/rolled down as you pull it back down causing a bit of an issue. So find either a very full coverage undie that doesn't leave lines, or find an alternate solution.... It took a bit of trial and error. I would rent this dress again in a heartbeat. Simply stunning on, showing off my hour glass figure while being conservative enough for work. I'm short so it hit below my knees and was form fitting, but I didn't have to waddle to walk as the slit was long enough in the back.

Beautiful color, a bit too flowy

This is a gorgeous lavender color and the fabric isn't sheer but opaque. I wore a black cami under it since I was wearing it to work and didn't want to show much cleavage. That said, if I was wearing this for an event outside of work, some double sided tape would have been very helpful as when it is laid in the right places it isn't too low cut. But? it's very fluid in it's shape/style and doesn't stay in place on it's own. The back seemed a bit short for me sitting *right* at my waist. I paired it with a high waisted Nicole Miller pencil skirt so it wasn't a big issue. I think someone who has a different body type would likely look better but it just seemed too big in the front and too short in the back for me. It was overall a beautiful top, just not for me.

Better than the average pencil skirt!

I rented this as part of my Unlimited with a flowy, lavender Amanda Uprichard top. The picture didn't really show how electric blue the striping was in the skirt but it didn't clash with the lavender top. It has a lot of metallic sheen and glitter to the stripes which makes it more dressy and I could see this very easily being worn from day to night with a change of accessories. Because I am so short, this was a bit long on me so I pulled it up pretty high to my rib cage as I had a loose top on. I would pair a top that is more fitted with this skirt if I got it again as the skirt has a nice shape and structure to it. I didn't have any issue with pulling this over my hour glass thighs or hips and really only felt the length made this look a bit larger than I wanted. The waist was loose as well, but I'm between a size 4 & 6 so it wasn't a deal breaker by any means. It was comfortable to sit in for work all day probably because of that. I'm not sure if I could get a size smaller up and over my bubble butt but I'm sure the length and waist would be perfect. There were some small snags in the stitching on the right hand side that looked like the accent stitching had been pulled at some point, but since the threading was so textured it wasn't noticeable to anyone but me. Nice skirt, very pretty in person and worth a try!

Light weight, cute, and comfortable!

This looked HUGE on the hanger but I went ahead and tried it on anyways, and I'm glad I did! It was super cute, didn't make me look boxy or like a blob. It really did look like it does on the model. As I'm on the short side, it fell slightly lower on my thigh than the model. The pockets, since I am short, were more for looks than anything since they were practically down by my knees, but were a cute detail. It is a little sheer but if you aren't really going out in the sun it won't be super noticeable if you forget to put on a slip. I will definitely be ordering this again and throw it into my regular rotation of Unlimited items.
