A very lovely dress. Colors are more suitable for day time. I rented for a birthday party I was throwing. Runs a little small for Shoshanna. The bust and under arm area was the most uncomfortable of the fit with the 0. I opted to wear the 2 because of that. Otherwise, beautiful fabric and print.

Unfortunately, this dress was too large for me. I am very petite with a moderate sized chest for my frame. The length was perfect, but the waist and bust were too large. I almost didn't wear it and forfeit the rental all together because I was unhappy with how large it was. I ended up wearing it, though. Cute dress, just too big.

I loved the style and look of this dress. It fit me well except for one problem - the straps were a little long. I have a pretty short torso and the length between my shoulder and chest is very short. This caused some gaping when I sat down and you could see my bra through the arm holes. Not a huge deal, but I wasn't thrilled with the overall fit. I probably wouldn't rent this dress again but I did enjoy wearing it. The embroidery details are beautiful and so are the colors. It's cottony, but sturdy. It was comfortable to wear in 80+ degrees with humidity.

I rented this for a very casual barn wedding reception, but rented too late where I wasn't able to pick a backup size. I've never had a problem fitting into any 0 I have rented so I went for it anyway. Of course this is the time where it wouldn't work out. I was excited to try it on when it arrived, I had just gotten back from lunch... Bad idea. Couldn't even get it zipped over my torso. I tried again right before I returned it, just to see. Well, I got it zipped this time, but I couldn't breathe. For a brief moment I considered wearing it but it wouldn't be worth being uncomfortable the whole night! Rent the Runway was extremely customer oriented in fixing the problem. My replacement dress just arrived, with more than enough time before my event! Overall the fit was small, but it is a really cute dress for a petite woman. I am short (5'1") and the length was short but appropriate for a wedding. The skirt is full and would have been fun to dance in!

I rented this dress for NYE and I loved everything about it. Great color, great fit, great material. I would totally rent this dress again. It can be worn with tights in the winter or would be super cute with nude heels for a summer wedding. It got a little short when I sat down and I am 5'1", so definitely wouldn't be a good one for taller women.

I got an email after I rented a dress for a martini party. I have always contemplated renting jewelry but I own a lot already and can usually pair something together after a dress is delivered. Anyway - it was pay $15 and they will surprise you with something to go with. I rented the Slate and Willow black and gold sequin dress so I was intrigued to see what they would send. I was a little disappointed by their choice to go with something silver. I'm not a huge silver person, and I thought since the dress had gold in it they would have picked something else. I'm not big into mixing metallics unless it is in one piece so I didn't end up wearing it. I guess that is what I get for letting RTR surprise me. Other than that, it was comfortable and a nice piece of bling - just not for me!

The dress fit great. It was comfortable for the most part, but like with any full sequin top, it rubbed on the underpart of my arm. If I hadn't been doing a lot of dancing it wouldn't have bothered me as much. Otherwise the dress was great, and I got a lot of compliments. It was a little tighter than I thought it would be because it looks more like a shift on the model, but I didn't mind. There wasn't a whole lot of difference between the 0 & 2, but I went with the 0. It seemed to be more snug where it needed to be.

This dress looks super baggy on the model, which is slightly misleading. I had previously rented a very similar style Shoshanna dress in the summer (pretty much same dress, different color), so I based my sizing on how my other rental fit, which was fab. I have a hard time fitting into true women's sizes (either the length or overall fit is baggy, even with a 0) but Shoshanna dresses are great for petite women I have found. It was a great length on me, but I am short. Taller women would probably struggle a bit with the length. I love the black and navy it photographs really well - gives some variation and texture to the dress that you might not see otherwise. I didn't get a full length pic, but I styled it with black patent leather shoes to give it a little shine.

This was my first RTR experience. It was great - I had a couple of silly mistakes that I made at checkout but they were resolved immediately by emailing the RTR staff. They were extremely quick getting back to me with any questions I had. As for the dress - the fabric quality was amazing. I'm the kind of girl who buys a dress and only wears it for one occasion. Heaven forbid you get caught wearing the same thing twice, right?? ;) I like to keep my look fresh and RTR definitely helps with that! I was a little worried that the 0 would be too big, I have a very small frame and sometimes Women's sizes are too big and tend to look frumpy on me. This fit perfectly. Not too tight, not too baggy and not too long! That's a plus for me. My only criticism was that the ends of the dress and arms are starting to fray, but I know that is just from being worn. Obviously you are aware you are renting a dress that has been worn. Overall my first experience with RTR was exceptional. Will be renting again!
