I rented this dress for my 31st birthday and was really, really happy with it. I love all things Mara Hoffman and this one was no exception. Adjustable straps and back-tie help ensure a perfect, no-slip fit up top, though I am not at all filled out in the bust, so I imagine that might be more challenging for ladies with more than a 34B. I was happy with the size 2R but it was just slightly too tight around my waist where the zipper hit, so I went with the 4R and was fine. I'm 5'2" and the length was perfect with flats, but I wouldn't have worn heels with it - think it just looks better as a floor-length maxi than as a tea-length dress.

I am surprised that this dress has such stellar reviews. Maybe the dress I received had just been worn too frequently, but there was some fading around the seams and it arrived incredibly wrinkled. The fabric felt cheap to me, and the bows on the shoulders also refused to lay flat. The dress definitely ran large, especially on top, so I would not recommend this for women with a smaller chest. The skirt was too full for my liking. My alternate size arrived either late or damaged before my shipment was sent, and so I was allowed to pick alternate dresses of any value, and I was extremely grateful that happened because I would not have been happy with this dress.

I rented this for a fundraiser with a lot of political types in the room. It was incredibly flattering and comfortable--a rare find of a dress that strikes the perfect balance between sexy and conservative. Top is satin and skirt is a jersey-like material, resulting in another nice balance between cocktail and casual. Pockets were ideal as I was involved in co-hosting and running the event, so I could keep my phone and other items discreetly on my person. Got quite a few compliments and it worked perfectly with a pair of white and black Michael Kors strappy heels.

This dress fit well and was comfortable and flattering. I wore it out for my birthday dinner date and was happy with the vibrant color. Great for hot summer days / nights on the town, but the fabric lends a more casual feel to it, so you'd need to dress it up with some great accessories if planning on anything fancy. I tried a couple of necklaces with it, but the neckline is such that it looks best bare. Do earrings, fun bracelets, and / or fun shoes.

I didn't end up wearing it because the wide straps and cut-out did not end up being as flattering for my body type as I anticipated. It fit perfectly and the dress is gorgeous and of good quality, but in the end I went with another outfit already in my closet because I liked the idea of this dress more than I liked it in reality. I think this was a case of me being a little finicky, and I do wish it had been shorter on me, but I always have that challenge at my height (5'2"). I suspected that might be the case as most of the photos accompanying existing reviews are from ladies who are 5'7" or taller.

The only reason I give this dress four stars is because it's much more form-fitting and less forgiving than I thought it would be. The material is stretchy, yes, but I just didn't think it worked super well for my particular body shape (pear-shaped: small bust, wider hips). I felt like I had to suck in my stomach all night, so I wasn't really comfortable in it. Other than that, it's a really gorgeous color and the 2R was the perfect length for me at 5'2" wearing 3" heels.

This dress was perfect for an early spring wedding. I always wish dresses were a bit shorter on me, but at 5'2", it's not the dress's fault. :) Tibi dresses always fit like a glove and are comfortable, stylish, and unique enough to stand out without being too outlandish. Their prints are to die for, and I love that I have access to so many Tibi dresses on RTR. I had recently rented a floor-length Nicole Miller for a charity fundraiser gala, and my boyfriend liked this dress much better because he thought it looked more comfortable and "better for dancing." He also thought it was "the best dress [you've] ever worn" and liked it so much he wanted to buy it for me. Definitely recommend!

This is a beautiful, beautiful dress. Unique colors and print and the fabric is gorgeous. It runs *very* small though and probably isn't best for pear-shaped girls. Even if I had gone a size up, I would imagine that the top would fit fine and the skirt would have been too snug on me.

This dress was okay on, but the sheer overlay did not drape below the hemline of the skirt as the photo shows, and when I received it, the fringe was all tangled. I ended up wearing my second choice dress instead and was told by the RTR stylist that this dress is about to be retired...which made a lot of sense to me after seeing it in person.
