Shinnier and poofier than pictured
Overall a solid basic: a slightly-oversized button-up black shirt with heavy brass buttons. The material is more complex than pictured: matte black overall but with a pattern of more shimmery patches. The sleeves are also more voluminous and shaped than I expected: heavily scalloped. Nice overall.

Slightly special basic
Comfortable, well-made pants that are very much a basic (they are cropped blue pants with an elastic waistband!) but feel a little special in their tailoring and fit. Waist runs small and may require some shimmying. These are not a linen blend, more of a brushed cotton.

Shorts shrink!
I ordered and loved these shorts last summer. They’re loose, casual, and fun. I ordered a size down (31–>30) this summer thinking they were a sure bet. But the pair I received was _much_ tighter and, weirdly, shorter. I think they must have gone through a dryer before I received them? So: excellent shorts overall, but maybe especially prone to shrinkage.

Lumpy charm
This is a curiously lumpy piece, maybe because of the sewn in shoulder parts and the way the lining interacts with the linen? But I kept it from a shipment where everything else went back immediately. Going to try to wear open as a cardigan - the buttoned almost double breasted look adds a lot of volume.

Beautiful!
Such a well-made gorgeous dress, with an interesting, flattering shape. The midsection was a bit tight on me, but it fit well overall. I didn’t wear this - ordered it to try out for a family wedding, but it wasn’t quite right for the occasion and would have taken up a lot of suitcase. Plan to steam or iron!

A bit raggedy
These are super casual shorts - totally see through and cut like boxers, with a thick elastic waist and a sewn-shut fly. I’ll wear them over a swimsuit to the pool. The embroidery on the pair I received is starting to pull and fray, so they look a little raggedy.

Paper thin and totally see through
It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but this dress is unwearable. It’s totally see through, so requires some investment in appropriate slips or undergarments. But it’s also low cut, with empire waist cupping and various tiered bands, which make it hard to pair with slips, bras, or shorts. It’s not too small, but I can’t figure out how to wear it! I wish I had read further down in reviews and heeded the warnings.
