It was perfect for a black tie gala.
I went for the long, and I'm glad I did since the 6R felt a little short with heels (I'm 5'6"). It was super comfortable. It's a little awkward to get into with the top strap, but once you're in, it is pretty comfortable. You do have to make sure you adjust the lining underneath to avoid any lumpy spots on the dress. I received several compliments and would definitely rent it again.
