Rented this for my 30th birthday weekend in Carmel (goodbye, decade-of-Herve-Leger!). Didn't take it off, and bought it from SMYM a few weeks later. It's primarily a beach cover-up, so it gapes a bit in the front; to wear to dinner, I used a safety pin to secure it & get a look like the model's. Sizing is a little large - I rented both the small and medium since I'm ~5'9", and the small was appropriately loose.

I rented this dress for my five bridesmaids, sizes 0-10. It was super flattering and elegant, and we got tons of compliments! One of the dresses was mislabeled by size (a 0 that was probably a true 4), but RTR was impeccable in getting replacements sent out overnight: we called at 6-7pm on Thursday after getting the dresses, and replacements for various fit issues arrived seamlessly the next day, despite our being in a pretty inaccessible location (an island off the coast of Cape Cod). All of the girls sized up for their backups based on prior Elizabeth & James experience, but I'm pretty sure everyone ended up wearing the smaller size - this is a dress that really shines when it's more form fitting. As for length, my 5'7" bridesmaid (with ~4 inch heels) needed a long, while everyone shorter went with the regular length.

I was really excited for this dress! I had planned to wear it to a family wedding, but ended up swapping it with the dress I'd rented for the rehearsal dinner (which thankfully wasn't photographed). The fit & fabric were just not flattering - this is probably best for someone who is more petite. The fabric was fairly thin, and, along with its sheen, gave my torso strange bumps/curves. The 4 fit better in that regard, but was skating-outfit short on me (and I'm usually all for the mini-dress).

This was sent to me after my original dress was unavailable. It's not something I'd ever order - I'm tall with a long torso, and know that drop-waists usually don't work on me. Unfortunately, I was traveling & didn't have time to deal with sending it back, picking a new dress, etc. Wearing it was exactly as I'd expected - it's a great dress with nice, heavy material, and the brocade is subtle but elevates the look. The style is cute & unique, perfect for a New England wedding. But: I had to pull it down before every photo for it to actually look like a drop waist.

Absolutely loved this dress - the flowers pop without being overwhelming. It definitely runs a little large, though - I had to pin my bra to the sides of the dress to avoid exposing it! I'm usually a true 6, especially by ribcage size, but wish I had rented the 4. That said, the dress still looked slimming & great in photos.

This was shipped to me after my original dress had a stain - unfortunately, it was about half and inch too small on my torso, and lots of inches too small in the slit length! I'm normally all for short dresses, but this was show-your-underwear short. Unfortunately, there wasn't a 6 available on such short notice, so I wasn't able to wear the dress. Definitely order a larger back-up, and maybe be prepared with a slip or some good tape.
