I had worn the same ML Monique Lhuillier style Alice dress for a previous event and loved the fit and color. I was going to order it again, but I decided to switch it up a little when I saw the same dress was available in a really lovely green. Unfortunately, the dress was a far cry from the green the way it looked on the model. If I had looked through the user pics and read comments I think I would have been able to second guess it, but I was confident based on wearing the Alice dress so I added it to my cart without a second thought. This dress ended up being a super bright teal, which some people have said they really liked, but it reminded me of a popular bridesmaid dress color from the 1980s. I would have settled with having to wear it for one night so didn't bother exchanging, and I ended up not going to the wedding anyway due to a last-minute family emergency, but I wasn't really excited to wear it.

Adding this bag to my order was really inexpensive, so while I didn't really NEED it for the evening I couldn't bring myself to turn it down either. I don't think there are many dresses that this bag wouldn't go with, and I think it would easily complement a pair of jeans with a cute top as well. It easily fit my iPhone 5s, two lipsticks, concealer, credit cards, cash, and earbuds, but it wasn't quite big enough to accommodate my sunglasses. My one criticism is that the clasp can be a little finicky and requires some patience to open and close.

This was my second time renting this dress, and I'm sorry to say that again I don't have any photos -- maybe the third time will be the charm since I will probably rent it again! I'm not usually a fan of LBDs because I think they're pretty boring, but this dress is super flattering and very sexy. I love that the fabric in the front is thick enough that a bra isn't necessary. I wore it to an outdoor fall wedding and I knew it would get chilly, so I wore sheer black thigh-highs (with the low back I didn't want pantyhose to be visible at the top) which was a little problematic since I was continually pulling down the skirt while trying not to pull down the stockings, and it was also a little daring because the lace-top would sometimes be visible when the skirt would ride up while I was dancing. Husband loves me in this dress but he didn't love it as much that as a result I got hit on a couple of times...but I say that's a success!

I rented this as a second option and liked the other dress better so I didn't wear it. It fit well at the waist but hit a little high, despite my being short-waisted. It was cute, but I felt like it was very holiday/winter-like and wasn't quite right for a fall rehearsal dinner. So I might rent again if I have a holiday party or maybe for NYE, since it was pretty comfortable and photographed better than expected.

I ordered the 2 and the 4. The 4 was pretty tight across the bust -- I basically had no boobs and wouldn't have had the room to wear a bra under it. With the size 4 there was also a problem with the quality. The boning had worn through the thin fabric so it created unflattering points at the top of the dress rather than a rounded sweetheart neckline. This seemed to be a known issue with the dress because the 2 had been patched to reinforce the fabric, and the 4 really should have been similarly patched before it was shipped back out. I could have tried to keep them down with safety pins, but instead decided to request a 6. It ended up being the right call. It was a little loose in the waist, but the silhouette is very forgiving so it looked fine (looked so much better in the bust than the 4 that it was worth it). It was also a little longer than I would have liked. It was cute but not my favorite rental.

I ordered this comb as a backup for an antique brooch I was having trouble converting to a comb, and ended up liking it so much that I abandoned the brooch altogether! It really looked beautiful. I planned to wear pearl studs but wore the diamond studs my (now) husband gave me as a wedding gift which I think was the right move because I didn't want to over-accessorize. I was afraid that this comb would be too large, but it ended up being the perfect size because it was visible from the front and also covered up many of the pins that were keeping my hair to the side. It also wasn't too heavy, but I have very fine hair so my hair stylist still put several extra pins through it to keep it in place, and it stayed put all night! I’m so grateful to have had an accessory that looked expensive but wasn't. Definitely recommend!

I wore this dress on the formal night of my bachelorette party cruise and it was perfect. I agree with other reviewers that it was longer than I was anticipating -- it's not visible in the photo, but I have long legs and it grazed the top of my knees. Also, I was slightly disappointed that I had to wear a bra, though despite wearing one I still didn't quite fill out cups of the dress enough. It seemed like the band at the top fit well but the cups were kind of baggy, so I can see how some women are saying that it made them look flat-chested. The 6 may have fit perfectly, but others recommended sizing up and I used my backup on a different dress. Still, even though I'd say the 8 was ever-so-slightly big in the waist and bust, no one could tell. It also stayed up pretty well without much pulling, so I was able to dance all night with no problems. Also, the sequins weren't irritating at all. I would definitely recommend and will rent again if I have the occasion!
