I rented this for a Moulin Rouge-themed NYE 2016 party at Chicago's Nellcote Restaurant. The dress was bold and high-fashion. In terms of fit, the 8 was a tad too big in the bodice area, specifically the bust. The 6 would have been perfect. However, RTR didn't have a 6 as a back-up size during my rental period. Having had a more tailored fit in the bodice area would have made me feel less bulky in pictures since the peplum is meant to cinch and highlight the smallest part of the waist. The bust in the 8 was quite roomy and I had to pull my dress up frequently. However, these were personal details I noticed as a wearer. Similarly to other reviewers, I received many compliments!

This dress runs small in the hips and waist, but true to size in the bust. In more consumer sizes, I'm a 6-8, but as typical with true designer dresses (i.e., Badgely Mischka, Zac Posen, Milly) the 10 fit me perfectly everywhere except the bust. I had to use fashion tape to secure the strapless portion of the bodice so I didn't have to keep pulling it up. This dress is constructed extremely well. I was disappointed that the belts accompanying my two sizes I received (10 and 12), incorrect corresponding belt sizes (12 and 2, respectively). I wore the 12 belt and also had to use fashion tape to make sure it secured correctly because it was way to large for my waist without doing so. Like other wearers I received numerous compliments in person and from comments on my Facebook. In shipping the rosettes got a bit flattened so I did have to take a little time to press/fluff the dress. Don't freak out that the the rosettes will show raw edges and the backside of the fabric, it's supposed to be like that. It's what adds the dimension and texture to the dress you see in the pictures. My fit experience matches with other wearers: I wore a size down from my true size - an 8 is a medium if it were true-to-size, but the small fit perfectly. My friend told me it made me look "tiny" - which is the best compliment a girl can get! Am I right?!? The black lace brings the sexy and the peek-a-boo nature has a lingerie feel, but the cut and classic style of the dress keeps you all covered up. The nude underslip and the forgiving stretch feels very soft against your skin so you almost feel like you're in loungewear! It has pockets and the back still allows for you show skin while allowing for you to wear a regular bra. I would definitely recommend a strapless bra (nude or black would be fine). I think straps showing through the true lace part at the top would take away from the total look.

I rented the 8 and the 10. This is a true designer dress, therefore the size is not inflated like large American retailers (e.g., Gap) so if you have a larger chest, I'd recommend sizing up. So much fun to wear for a an annual holiday girls' night out that's theme was glitter this year.

The fit was spot on - like it was tailored for me. Nicely fitted in the waist with a fun flare at the bottom. I wore to my work holiday party. Felt fun and flirty, while still being work appropriate and festive. Compliments galore and was fun to wear. Would rent this again in white for a future event if it's available.
