Yes it fits large but also, yes, it’s a KEEPER!
I knew the dress would fit boxy and large because of the way it draped on the model. I don’t mind that. The one area that could be a problem for you is the straps area, depending on your shoulder width and bust size. I am narrow and small chested so that area proved to be an issue and I had to keep adjusting it but it was worth it to me. The print and the fabric is just so beautiful and it made me feel happy! Like I was transported to my dream vacation, even if I was just shopping at Trader Joes haha I think I’m going to buy it from RTR because I’d normally size down, but the XS is sold out everywhere right now. If you’re going on a trip or just want to feel like Summer, this is the dress. I will even pay to get the top brought in a bit because I like it that much and have absolutely nothing I’ve rented or bought similar to it!

Can’t go wrong with this dress. It’s simple, girly, and romantic.
Hill House just has a way of taking a dress that you wouldn’t look twice at on the hanger and making it something special. Something that feels feminine and hugs your body the right way. Smocking has to be done right or it accentuates the parts of my body I don’t want to, and HH does it right every time. The bus is flexible because there’s a drawstring and the length was perfect on me at 5’6 so that it fit like a true maxi and not a midi. It’s cotton and perfect for Texas humid heat!

It’s just a basic
I was the most excited to rent this dress because it’s one of my fav brands for summer and I’m known for all the fun collars I wear. I also love a short/boxy swing dress. What bothered me were the arms. The length is awkward and it made it look like it was too small on me or I shrunk it. I know 3/4 sleeves are a thing, but it just didn’t look like they were supposed to be. However, I got a lot of compliments in it so this is really just my own take. Also, it’s way more casual than I thought in-person. I really had to be intentional about the shoes to dress it up. It runs on the smaller end and is pretty short. I am 5’6 for reference.

This is my Summer brand!
I was hoping to see even more Ciao Lucia because it’s just the essence of Summer. All of their dresses are so feminine and somehow just have a similar vibe even though the styles are so different. They tend to run smaller on the bust (which works in my favor but it’s worth calling out if that could be a concern for you). I always get my true to size. Loved renting this one and wish there were 5 other styles from them to choose from because their latest collection is so good!

Rent it with the matching bottoms if you can!
I loved wearing this gingham top, and paired with the matching shorts, it’s so cute! I always have to use stills from videos for my pictures so it looks quite silly but you can see the shirt well and that it’s not too cropped either. Perfect for a humid summer. I felt so comfortable!

Roomy in the waist but doesn’t run large
The waist has room but I didn’t mark it as running large because it does fit like an XS. I’d say it’s closer to a 2 than a 0/2 if that makes sense. I love the cute gingham print and it’s very thin and breezy for summer. If you rent the matching top, the shorts are high-waisted enough that no skin shows.

Very Transitional and Chic
This top is not too cropped to wear with slacks if you have a business casual dress code but it’s also easy to dress down for just a casual day (like I did). It is forgiving sizing-wise. I took my true to size and there was a lot of room in the bust/bodice still. No pinching at all. But it also didn’t gape so overall a flattering top.

It’s flattering and comfortable
I was a little worried this dress would feel too warm for a humid climate, but it was surprisingly comfortable. The mesh overlay is incredibly soft, which isn’t always the case with this style. It honestly feels more like wearing a slip. Breathable! The front seam detail is really pretty and feminine (has a cute corset visual), and somehow even the cap sleeves are flattering, which is saying a lot because I’ve never been a cap-sleeve person. The fabric has a relaxed, casual feel, but the silhouette is polished enough to dress up or down. I could see it with sneakers and a denim jacket for daytime or paired with kitten heels, mules, or even simple flip-flops. It’s one of those pieces that works for a lot of different occasions and seasons. And it’s different! This is what rent the runway is for! 💕

Perfect everyday bag for summer!
It has the look of being a small early 2000’s bag but actually holds quite a bit of stuff inside of it. The color is a pretty yellow too. Not quite a butter yellow but nowhere near a mustard, almost like sunshine! It’s very easy to get into and close back up too. I’m a Millenial who carried purses like this when I was younger and this is the right style that’s a good inbetween of a functional, trendy purse without taking me too far back in time! Haha

Fits really boxy in a cute way but…
I’d give this top 5 stars if it weren’t for the (c h e a p) screen printed bear on the front. You’d think for almost $200 they’d be able to embroider it or use a patch, literally anything but this. That aside, it fits so cute and I enjoyed wearing it. Perfect shirt for a rent the runway item just not one I would purchase. Also, if you have a kid, they will find the “6-7” prints on the sleeves humorous. Not sure if that was intentional or not in the design! Take your true to size.

This runs on the larger size if you're smaller chested so size down. The straps are adjustable which makes it a little more transitional for different sizing. It's very sheer but not see-through. It is a short top, not cropped, just short. Hits right at the waistband of a mid-rise pair of denim.

Left the tags on for the next member…
This dress runs 1 1/2 sizes too big, not just in the bust but on the waist. since it didn’t give me any definition, the fabric on the skirt looked unkept and “poofy” (but not in a good way). I tried to get a picture to show how bizarre it fit but it didn’t capture it well. For reference, I took my true to size and usually my TTS fits me on the tighter side.

Probably my fav basic I’ve rented
This was honestly a space filler because I don’t usually rent anything that retails under $100 (I’d rather buy it than have it take a space), but I’m glad I did because it’s the exact tank I’ve been looking for, for Summer. It’s 100% cotton and the pointelle is so girly, especially with the little ruffled straps. I took an XS and wear b/t an XS and Small. I’d say true to size! It’s perfect to wear with low-waisted jeans since it is not cropped. Hits right at the top of the waistline. I would buy it but RTR has it excluded from any promotions (there’s literally no incentive to buy it here) so I ordered this in white and another color from the Nic + Zoe website.

Well made and cotton!
It looks like it runs big on the hanger, but it actually fits true to size. There’s no stretch to the fabric, so I’d definitely stick with your normal size. Rachel Antonoff dresses always feel so playful and happy to me, like wearing sunshine honestly. I also love how much fabric is in the skirt because it gives that really pretty swish when you walk. One of those dresses that just feels fun to wear. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite sweatshirts and love the denim collar!
I own this sweatshirt in the all-white version already, so the second I saw this one available to rent I knew I needed it too because I wear mine constantly. The navy piping on the pocket and the denim collar are such simple details but make it look so chic and polished. I rented a skirt to style with it, but honestly the sweatshirt alone is worth renting. The terry material makes it perfect for warmer weather, and it has that really classic, sharp look that somehow still feels relaxed.

This is such a good skirt!
The waistband is made from this really structured, bandage-style material that honestly reminds me of a Herve Leger dress. It still fits super relaxed through the waist though, so you could easily take your true size or size down depending on how fitted you want it. I was worried it would be too short, but at 5’6 it definitely didn’t read mini skirt on me at all. It also has pockets, which I love. The tennis-inspired vibe is what sold me since I play tennis, and it’s such a perfect elevated casual weekend skirt.

Perfect Pink Dress (but runs large in chest!)
This dress is SO girly in the best way. The little flare at the hem makes it perfect for twirling and the pink is surprisingly flattering even if you normally avoid pink like I do. I got nonstop compliments wearing it. A few fit notes though: the bust runs really big and isn’t adjustable, so small chested girls will probably have extra room even in their true size (I had so much excess material, but the upside is I didn’t need a bra!). But the waist runs fitted and not forgiving, so I wouldn’t recommend sizing down. The straps are adjustable and the length was great on me at 5’6”. Want to buy this one eventually. It’s a repeat dress.

The collabs are hit or miss for me but this is a HIT. The construction is beautiful, from the stitching to the fabric and fit. I wore it running around doing errands but it would be the perfect vacation outfit if you snag the matching top to wear it as a set. I’d still rent the skirt even if you can’t get the top because it’s so easy to match. It’s true to size but I also had some room in the waist (just not to where it felt too big). I hope to see more collabs like this one because it doesn’t feel like a cheaper version…I’d think it was the real deal!

Don’t be shy with this top. It is not a brami type of fit, it is in fact long enough to wear without looking like you should have saved it for a beach vacation haha I rented the set and I’m so glad I did. But you could totally wear the top with a black or white skirt you already have. This collab is not a scaled down version of the real thing, it’s good quality! Even the stitching is perfect. Highly recommend!

Sandro made another perfect dress!
I wore this on Mother’s Day and it was just perfect! I draped a Sandro cardigan over my shoulders indoors because the back is quite revealing but it’s still tasteful and classy. The material is interesting too, almost like a taffeta feeling but it’s not scratchy or hot. The inner slip is sewn in backwards so the smooth seams are against your skin and you don’t see the outer seems through the dress at all. The straps are both stretchy AND adjustable which is so hard to find! And the ties in the back determine how much of a waistline you want. I love when dresses accommodate different builds in one size!

I wore it with trousers and white jeans
Wish I could post more than one picture because I styled this top two different ways and it’s very versatile to do so. I love the elastic at the bottom, that gives an effortless tucked in look. However, beware! The front of the shirt makes a little teepee opening at the bottom of the hem, which shows your belly button if you’re not wearing ultra high-waisted pants. Both of my bottoms were high-waisted and it still have a peek-a-boo so if you’re renting for the office, maybe put a cami underneath it. It isn’t a boring “spot filler”, it really is a beautifully made shirt and flattering!

I like the idea of the top
I thought this old be a top id end up purchasing because WHY IS IT SO HARD to find cute tops?! But it’s just too cropped for my liking. I wore it with some drawstring pants that are low-waisted and it as cute but a little young for me. It does not look good with high-waisted pants because it is so billowy and shapeless you have to be able to show some of your hips to add dimension IMO. I’d say it runs smaller because I’m a cup size A and almost wore it bra-less because my bra was taking up so much space. Perfect idea for a top but just not well executed. I think the younger girls will be darling in it though, I’m just a little too old for it!

Summer Vacation Vibes & Beautiful Details
This skirt is such a standout. The embroidered ties and the cooling linen make it feel really special. It’s one of those pieces you rent because let’s be honest, who already owns a yellow skirt with snakes and tulips on it? That’s what makes it fun. It leans safari meets tropical vacation in the best way. Even without the matching top, it still works on its own, but if you can get the full set, do it. Fit is true to size and the length is very wearable, not too short. I’m 5’6 for reference.

Love the linen and the beautiful details on this shirt. The sides have elongated slits so you can wear the shirt untucked and it still shows your waistline and shape well. So many ways to style this even if you don’t get your hands on the matching skirt. Fits true to size. While it’s obviously an oversized look, the shoulder seams and bust fit well and it doesn’t look sloppy at all!

This dress is comically huge. I am always the size I selected in this brand. Like, always. The waist and chest area is ginormous. I couldn’t even get string or a belt to bring it in because there was so much fabric it looked goofy. I was so bummed because I had taken the tags off and steamed it, not even worried about the fit since I know my size in Polo. I wouldn’t even bother getting one size down because I already know it wouldn’t work. Doesn’t matter what size you wear, SIZE DOWN!

RTR has been KILLING IT with sets and this is one of them! But also, it’s just a darling jacket
I’d wear this alone as a jacket without the matching skirt because it’s very polished and chic. Something about the fabric is “expensive” looking with how thick and starchy it is and the boxy fit is what makes it look high fashion. This is a ‘W’ for me! I’m going to buy it if they offer any kind of promo. The sleeves are wide and long too.

Fav short skirt rental…the two-toned trouser pockets on the back are so cute!
I don’t know how this skirt will get anything but 5 ☆’s, especially if you were able to rent the set. But the skirt on its own is such a core piece to have in the closet and I think I’m going to buy it if they offer any kind of promo on it. I LOVE how thick and boxy it is. It’s pretty short and it’s not a skort so you’ll have to be careful when sitting down and standing up but because of the style, it’s understated and chic. Fits true to size and its lower waist. Hook enclosures and zipper and the front pockets are functional!

A perfect loveshack dress!
Down to the fit - I took my true to size and there was room in the bust still but it didn’t look too big on me either (I’m a 36A for reference). The front slit is what makes the dress because it’s very much that “milk maid” style yet quite conservative, so the front slit is cute because you don’t see it until you start walking. It’s 100% cotton so extremely breathable too!

All about the rolled neck, and in this color, it’s perfect for spring or summer!
This was a great rental and I wore it 3X during the period. If you’re used to wearing a roll neck by another company (you know who), this one fits more true to size so you don’t need to size down like you would in the viral one. the quality speaks for itself too and the yellow is not obnoxious. It’s very subtle, not a butter yellow but also no mustard hue at all. Pairs well with khaki shorts, navy poplin pants, white denim etc. so versatile and you can create so many outfits out of it!

An unexpected new thing I love about RTR, renting this Marni bag!
I rarely find accessories I want to rent here (this might be my first, but don’t quote me). I knew I had to have this cute little bag because it’s not practical enough I’d purchase it but it’s something I’d pin on board and daydream about styling. It really adds to a simple outfit, which is how I styled it today. I let the pop of color add something interesting to my classic navy set and I got a few compliments on it because it stands out in a cheerful way. Be careful though because there’s only a snap enclosure so all your things will spill out of it if it’s not perfectly upright. This is a just as a vacation rental or just wanting to add to some of your capsule pieces you weave into your RTR outfits. Darling!!

This is the perfect emerald green color and I rarely find it. If you have hazel or green eyes, this dress is going to pull people in. The color is majestic but the style is simple and elegant. I love the cutout details too and they’re positioned just right to where it’s not overly revealing. It’s true to size and for reference, I am 5’6 and smaller busted. I was worried about excess material up top but that wasn’t a problem. The dress didn’t have much stretch to it so make sure you take the size you’d normally wear. LeJean doesn’t make any ill-fitting denim. They are all flattering but size down!
I took my TTS in this brand and within a few hours the waist was sagging a bit which doesn’t normally happen with LeJean. There’s a ton of stretch with these so especially if you’re renting them after someone else has (mine were new with tags), make sure to go down one size! Also, I’m 5’6 and they were almost too short on me to where it didn’t look cropped but more like I purchased a petite size. It worked because I wore sandals with them but I wouldn’t wear this length with heels. Overall though they’re 5 ☆’s and would be petite girl friendly! Love where they hit on the waist too. I am over high waist and these are just low enough to be a mid-waist.

Reminds me of a maternity shirt
This tube top is great quality and a breathable cooling linen so there’s nothing bad to say about it but I couldn’t figure out how to style it for the life of me. These were the 5th pair of bottoms I tried on it with the top and it was still giving maternity shirt to me. And because I’ve worn maternity clothes for years, I just don’t think I can do it. I’d probably pair it with culottes but I don’t own any. Looking forward to seeing how the other girls figure it out. I do like the peekaboo back detail, because it adds interest.

Buttoned blazer for work…unbuttoned top for dinner.
Love this blazer. The neckline is really flattering and the button placement is perfect so you can leave a few undone and it still looks intentional, not sloppy. I styled it as a top with Hudson jeans and loafers and felt really put together for dinner. I can already tell it’s going to be one of those pieces that works with everything… culottes, a knee-length skirt, boots, all of it. Great piece if you’re a corporate girly too! It has shoulder pads but they’re subtle, not overly structured, and the overall fit is super flattering. Only downside for me was the anchor detail on the buttons… just not my personal favorite, but everything else about it works. Love this brand and hope to see more from them in the inventory.

The girls love a good Summer top! 🌼🌷
First time I’ve tried this brand before so I wasn’t sure about sizing. Here’s a quick summary: - Runs TTS. I took an XS and was terrified at first when I saw there wasn’t a zipper anywhere to be found on it but it was easy to get on by unbuttoning it first. I am a 36A or 34B and it was a close fit on my chest. - It shows your skin through between the buttons but not in a noticeable way. For reference, I felt comfortable wearing it around with my family today. You only notice if you’re looking for it. - Fit: It wasn’t too cropped when paired with high-waisted jeans and didn’t show my tummy at all! - Quality: the floral design is embroidery so it didn’t look cheap. And the best part? It doesn’t require steaming because it is a body-con fit so it smooths the fabric out nicely. Side note - no pinching in the underarms area at all. One thing I worry about with tank tops!

Best when rented with the full set
I’m guessing these pants didn’t get much love in the reviews because they really need to be worn with the matching top. On their own they’re just very oversized drawstring pants. Comfortable, but not particularly special. The look really comes together as a set. The matching top runs very small and is quite fitted, so the loose, baggy fit of the pants balances it out nicely. I would definitely rent the top on its own if it were available, but I probably wouldn’t rent the pants by themselves. They’re very comfortable and well made, but the full look really only works when worn as the set.
