I bought this set. I love it together; I wear the pants with other tops but can’t really wear the top with other pants because it’s pretty cropped. Would look great with high-waisted white jeans, I just don’t own any.

Very heavy fabric
I rented this for a México vacation and didn’t end up wearing it because the skirt part felt so heavy and just like a lot of fabric- my legs were sweating as soon as I put it on.

Hard to style
I wore this with a long-sleeved dress and really liked it, but other than that I had a hard time figuring out how to style it. Wanted to like it but it felt awkward for some reason.

Awkward length and rise
I really wanted to like these because I loved the color and the velvet texture, but the fit was just awkward. They were cropped in a way that felt like they were just too short rather than intended to be that length (and I'm short-to-average height so pants being too short is pretty much never an issue). The waist was lower rise than I'm used to, so between that and the pants being too short, it felt like there wasn't enough fabric there even though they weren't too tight or anything.

This was fancy feeling, yet comfortable at the same time. I liked the tie on the front/side and felt like that made it more flattering too. There were just the right amount of sequins- enough to add a little something fun without being overwhelming. Wanted to buy this because I loved how I felt in it but I don’t really have anywhere to wear it.
