I ordered the 6 and go the 8 as a back up size. Neither one of them would fit me. I had to go with an outfit I already owned for the party. I loved the color and the cut of the dress but it is true that it runs small. I normally wear a size 6 but also have more thigh and butt than some. The dress wouldn't fit over my legs or butt so it just didn't work out for me. I wish there was more reviews on this dress and more pictures to help figure out a good size. I feel like I should have gone with a 10 or a 12 for this one.
