Showstopping, sexy, classy -- this gown made me feel like a star.
RTR is three for three in terms of perfect rentals that have greatly contributed to my enjoyment of memorable events! This gown is almost exactly what previous reviewers have indicated. It definitely stands out among the usual gala black (I received compliments from friends and strangers and could feel people staring as we moved into the event ballroom for dinner); it's sexy without showing too much skin (I wore it without a bra but with laser-cut undies); it runs long (I had to use dress tape to be able to wear 3" heels, and still the skirt trailed). The material also wrinkles easily (I spent awhile steaming the gown beforehand) and does not really stretch. While I was able to cha cha, salsa, and bachata easily (the bandleader dubbed my friend and me the best couple on the dancefloor!), I had to take a break to aerate my legs since the skirt/lining were so warm and was careful when walking so as not to trip. Yet I didn't want to dress down when I arrived home! The paint on the zipper pull was chipped, I found a long blonde strand of hair in the lining from the previous user, and the hangers were broken, but I will definitely return to RTR for my next event needs!

Stunning, showstopping, practically perfect
I knew I could trust Badgley Mischka after having an unforgettable experience in the gold sequined halter gown earlier this year for a Mardi Gras ball, and this head-turning dress was similarly a hit. Again, I was sold when I read so many other women's reviews that strangers and loved ones told them how great they looked in it and also that it is perfect for dancing. I wore it to a fellow Zumba Instructor friend's wedding, and I instantly felt like a million bucks as I prepared at home; the dress reminded me of some favorite musical theatre roles' iconic red dresses: Anita, Cassie, Millie Dillmount. The dress is sexy without being exposed, the straps are great for showing off shoulders and arms, and the ruffle adds interest and movement. The lining enabled me to wear just pasties instead of a bra. I was also ecstatic to discover the slit (and on the side of my more flexible leg!) and that I could hike up the skirt on my hips, if needed. I was pleased with the length, and there was just a tad of looseness in the bust, but it was part of why I had such a grand time at the wedding. I was able to forget about my clothes and just dance/exist. Another winner! I wish I didn't have to return it today, ha!

Spiffy, unexpected, but not for dancing!
As a star/astronomy lover, these stood out to me. They tied my ensemble together for sure, but within a few minutes of dancing (it was to "Mayores" at a wedding of a friend who is a fellow Zumba instructor), an earring popped out and onto the floor. Back into my purse both went for the remainder of the event. I would wear again for less active occasions.

Stunning and attention-grabbing, yet comfortable and easy to wear.
I was thrilled to wear this to my first Endymion Extravaganza; after having read all of the reviews, I was sold by the comments that one woman had never felt more beautiful than in this, and another received endless compliments from strangers. The 2R was perfect fit-wise -- it hugged my curves and still allowed me to relax/eat at dinner -- but was a bit long on my 5' frame; I wore 3" heels and probably could have done 4" or 5", and I had to constantly hold up my skirt, even before reaching the Superdome's debauched floors. Thanks to the excellent lining, I didn't need to wear a bra, and I wore a laser-cut/seamless brief. The thin straps made it perfect for dancing and showing off shoulders/arms. As others have noted, the sequins make the gown a bit heavy, which wasn't noticeable until several hours of dancing later, and they leave red marks on your underarms from friction. (Both totally worth it!) Otherwise, I felt like a princess and rock star in this and received compliments from strangers in the hotel and on the sidewalk and my friend/host's sweet family and friends ("beautiful," "stunning," "astonishing," and "you look amazing"). Thank you for helping make this night unforgettable! I will definitely recommend and return to RTR in the future.

Magical, dramatic, but not too heavy, these were an absolute dream to wear.
The earrings were perfect with my pixie cut and with the gold sequined gown I had chosen for Endymion Extravaganza; they reminded me of both Mozart's Queen of the Night and Wicked's Glinda, and they caught the light and photographed well without being too heavy or uncomfortable. I want to buy a pair of my own!
