I loved this dress for a formal event I attended in New York in October. It is a nice material and very flattering with the sweetheart neckline and peplum waist. I thought the color stood out in a sea of black, though there were 2 other girls wearing the same dress (the red made it easy to spot where they were and steer clear :) ). I usually am a 4 in dresses and I thought it fit nicely everywhere except the bust-that was a little loose. I love high heels and got to wear them without issue in the regular length dress so I would say it's a little long but perfect for my preference. What made this even better was that I had ordered a different dress from RTR that was a total disaster and I was able to stop in the store in NYC and pick a new dress for that night. A little stressful so last minute and the place was packed but they let me try on in the bathroom and threw in a cute black clutch for the mishap. Pretty good experience overall!

Overall I was happy with this dress for the wedding I went to but I did have a few issues. My back up size got cancelled so it was either the 6R or nothing, I think I might have preferred the 8 but I can't say for sure since I didn't get to try it. Normally I would be a 4 or 6 in dresses so I do think this brand runs smaller than usual as others have said. I like to wear tall heels and this was a little on the shorter side for me and I had to wear short heels. I'm blonde and fair skinned so I was worried that the color would wash me out but I personally thought it still worked with my skin tone...I just had to brighten up the face with a bolder lipstick. It was really tight and to hide some flaws I had to wear spanx even though you could see where the waistband cinched in-that's another reason I would've preferred the 8 however the top was a little loose in the 6 and probably would've been too big with the 8. I can't remember if I wore a stick on bra or nothing, but you can't wear any normal type of bra with it. The bow in the back closure is cute but came undone quite often. Reading over my review makes it sound like a terrible choice, but somehow I still liked it and thought it was a pretty dress.

I am 5'6 135 and I ordered the small and medium. The 2 dresses I got varied significantly in fit and the small was actually slightly larger through the hips than the medium and the medium was several inches longer. I wore the small and loved it! Wore it to a wedding with tights and booties first and then made it a skirt by throwing on a black silk shirt that I tied at the waist for a high school reunion the same night and got tons of compliments at both! Was very happy with this dress!
