This is very much for hourglass figure, you can even see most of the women who posted photos of themselves have larger bust and smaller waist (hips don't really matter in a dress like this). The natural waist must be lower. I wear a 18/20 dress at lane bryant. I usually wear 18/20 on top and 22 on jeans. So i'm pear shaped and I have a high waist. I ordered 18 and 20 of this dress and the 20 was loose on my bust area and too tight for my waist. If they had 22 it probably would have fit my waist but the bust would have been way too big... guess this dress just isnt for me. The material was different but it was okay, the edge at the bottom of the dress was not hemmed and that struck me as very odd. Unfortunately, the tight waist prevented me from wearing the dress. I also noticed that being a larger girl in the dress I sortof looked like a little kid. I'm not sure if I would have worn it anyway.
