I have nothing bad to say about this dress & everything good to say - My husband loved it & so did I! Very sexy but also classy. The sheer bottom half & open back give this little black dress an interesting twist. The 6R fit like a dream - but be aware, the fabric has no stretch. This style is perfect for us gals who have broad shoulders & a waist - but who also have muscular legs; it accentuates our best features & also de-emphasizes & elongates the legs a bit. You will need a Nubra for sure. The 8R was a little long on me, even with heels. The 6R was perfect. Must rent again sometime!

Loved this dress! It's stretchy & very comfortable. It is pretty form-fitting to the booty, so I wouldn't personally wear it to work during the daytime, but it's classy enough to wear out to a nighttime social business function. The top black part is mesh, so wear a strapless bra.

Great dress. Loved the color & it just hung well - not clingy, but skimmed the body in all the right places. I loved the chain hanging down on the back - interesting detail & really shows off the back/shoulders...FYI the chain does jingle a bit. Looks great with a tan - has an island vibe. Would rent again.

I wanted to love this dress & I liked it fine, but I didn't love it...I ended up wearing another one. It did fit well & was very comfortable - however, the asymmetrical design was just too strange for me (& I do like asymmetry in dresses, usually). I felt that it looked slightly off-center...but not enough that it was obvious that it was done on purpose. I couldn't figure out a good way to wear it so it looked right. Also, the material is very clingy around the hips, which can be good or bad, depending on your preference. The R length ended up being perfect for me, even with tall heels...so had I worn the dress, I would have been glad I didn't get the L.

I loved this dress on the website, but didn't end up wearing it. Unless you are very tall, I think it is just too long to be flattering. I am 5'4" & the skirt hit below my knees. The color is not what I expected - on RTR, it looks like it's maroon/red/black, but actually the skirt & the top are more of a purple-wine color (two tones) - pretty colors, but not what I expected. I also echo the other reviewers' comments about the zipper - VERY difficult to zip/unzip. In fact, I was afraid to try it on - afraid I couldn't get it off.

This dress fits like a dream. I have a long torso, so I was a little worried that the high waist would not work for me...on the contrary, it was extremely flattering. I didn't even need to wear Spanx. At first I was a little worried that the high slit would be too revealing...but once I started moving around in it, I realized that the way the dress is constructed, it would be very difficult to flash the world - even though the slit goes up high, it doesn't actually show anything. After I realized that, I danced all night at our awards ceremony - including some headbanging! (see photo) I also wore this with the Tom Binns Neon Bracelet, though you can't see it in the photos.

Loved this dress! I rented it for a dinner at a fancy restaurant - it was so comfortable & perfect for a chilly night. The material is thick & stretchy - sexy but classy. There is a slit up the side, but it's not obvious - just enough to give the dress a little oomph. The ruching makes the dress very figure-flattering. I wore this with black tights & boots - as well as the Tom Binns Seeing Neon bracelet. Would be perfect for a work event. Highly recommend!

I liked this dress but did not end up wearing it. I imagine it would be stunning on certain body types, but it didn't do too much for me. The pale color was too close to my own skin tone - but a summer tan would fix that. The bigger issue was just that I felt it made me look too boxy & didn't highlight my best features. I imagine it would look gorgeous on darker-skinned ladies with big busts who carry their weight in their middle & have thin legs. I was also suprised that the material was very matte - almost casual - though the dress still looked formal.

Loved this purse! It's so fluffy & would add an element of fun to an otherwise standard dress. Unfortunately the dress I got to go w/ the purse didn't fit, so I had to return all - but would totally rent this again another time.

I have wanted to rent a Herve dress for some time & have read so much about how wonderfully they fit - I was surprised to find that this dress didn't fit me at all & wasn't flattering. I think you would have to either be well-endowed on top or have very slim hips/legs - or be proportionally curvy all over to balance it out & make this particular style work. Didn't wear.

I rented this for my husband's b-day party. Beautiful dress & color, but disappointed in the fit & unfortunately I couldn't wear it. For me, the top in the size 6 fit just right, but the hips were a tad too small; the size 8 top was too big, but the hips fit OK. There is no stretch, so you get what you get. But the biggest problem was the waistline...it fell way too high above my waist. I do have a long torso (but not freakishly long), so if you are short-waisted, the waist would probably hit you just right. I think you would have to have just the right figure proportions for this dress to fit you perfectly.

This dress was so comfortable & easy to wear that I practically forgot I had it on. You could easily dress this up or down, depending on the shoes you wear. I wore tall wedges for a summer party. Also - it is reversible! The only thing I had to think about at all was the little straps inside (for hanging on a hanger) - they tended to hang down & out the sleeves. Normally if I owned the dress, I would cut them out - but I couldn't since it was a rented dress. I ended up tying them up several times - but you could also tape them to the inside of the dress. Many compliments - highly recommended!

I rented this for a business event. Of all the dresses I've rented from RTR, if I could purchase one, it would be this one! The sequined skirt makes it dressy, but it's also a bit casual because it hangs like a t-shirt dress. It feels as comfortable as a t-shirt dress - in fact, I ended up wearing it to the airport to fly home...and then my flight was delayed for hours - but I was totally comfortable. I can think of a million ways to wear this dress - you could dress it up with a jacket &/or red stilettos - or dress it down, depending on the shoes you wear. I had several strangers compliment me on the sequined skirt - it looks a bit like a two-piece. The shirt did need to be ironed before wearing, and I secured the shoulders with a bit of fashion tape. Also, my skin is fair so it helped to get a spray tan beforehand - otherwise the color would have washed me out. DVF: Would love this dress in more colors!

I rented this dress for a business dinner at a high-end restaurant & then wore it again to church on Easter Sunday. I rented a 6 & 8, and ended up wearing the 8 because the hips of the 6 were a big too snug - but I wished I had the 6 on top. You will definitely need a Nubra & fashion tape to wear this dress - I had to tape the front closed because otherwise you could have seen right down the front of my dress. Also, since the back is sheer (a gorgeous feature!), it is not easy to wear Spanx - but I did anyway, and just turned down the top to waist-level. The fabric is delicate, and wrinkles very easily, even the first time you sit down. All that said, I truly loved how this dress looked - It was luxurious & different, and the color was beautiful- I got many compliments. Just be aware that this is not a "throw-on-and-forget it" dress - it takes a little bit of handling.

I rented this dress for a dinner out. I usually wear a size 6 - the S was unavailable, so I got the M - it was a little big (the S probably would have been perfect), but I just belted the dress & everything stayed in place just fine. This dress was easy to throw on & go - extremely comfortable & I only needed a little fashion tape to secure the underarm. I loved the weight & the rich silkiness of the fabric - & best of all, it didn't need ironing. It was fun to wear this loud print once & then send it back!

This is the first time I've rented an accessory from RTR, but I'm glad I did - this zebra clutch really made the Gray Milan Mist dress pop. The outside is furry, which was fun. The outside is also hard (not soft), so it protects your iPhone etc. The only problem I had was with the chain - it wasn't as sturdy as I'd wished & I ended up holding the purse most of the night. I may rent this one again!

I wore this to a business party & found it to be a classy but sexy dress. Since the party was for business, I wore "sensible" pumps & then added some flash with the DVF zebra handbag (love!) & a rhinestone cuff. Instead of using fashion tape to close the top, I took another reviewer's advice & wore a yellow neon bra underneath - actually it was a sports bra, but you couldn't tell! It gave a pop of color & also kept me from having a wardrobe malfunction. It was a cool night & this dress kept me warm while we ate outside. The skirt is very clingy & stretchy - so be ready to show off your booty - wear Spanx for sure. The skirt does tend to ride up a little when you walk, but nothing too bad. Overall, great dress!

I rented this for a business event - This was such a fun & easy dress to wear! I thought it was totally art deco. I think this would be flattering on many figures. I did secure the sash with a bit of fashion tape to keep it from riding too high/low (there are no beltloops). There is a slit on the leg, but it was very low & not obvious - fine for business. This is a beautiful dress - however, if you are looking for something that shows off your figure, I would not recommend it - too voluminous - I usually wear a size 6, and even the size 2 seemed too loose. I can see that this dress could be great for ladies whose legs and/or bust are their strongest feature - or those who would like to hide a tummy or wide hips. This dress is cut well, but even if you go down a size or two, it will still feel roomy. Gorgeous fabric. Good luck!

I couldn't have been happier with this dress, from the moment I put it on. It was stretchy & comfortable - and the ruching was quite figure flattering. It hugged my curves in all the right ways - and didn't hug them in the wrong ways. I ordered the 6 and the 8 - the 6 looked so good that I never even took the 8 out of the bag (though I suspect the 8 and even the 4 probably would have looked good as well, because of the stretchiness - Nicole Miller dresses are forgiving that way). I did wear Spanx underneath & a strapless push-up bra, and also secured the underarm with a little fashion tape, but other than that, I was ready to go as soon as I put it on. I wore this to an awards ceremony & had women stop me all night & ask me where I got this dress. I danced until 2 am & was totally comfortable - everything stayed in placed.
