Hit all the wrong places
I have a short torso, my custom dressed are a full 2 inches shorter than the size 14 pattern. My natural waist is "higher" than standard patterns and it's usually only an issue with dresses. Makes sense that this garment was completely off and ended up being very unflattering. It you got a (close to) cookie cutter body it'll probably be a comfortable and cute look

Flaccid Shoulder Pads ?
The shoulder detail is hard to describe, but I loved it !!! An extra bit of volume at the top helps perportinizs bodies above a sample size. This curvy gal looked and felt super cute every-time I wore this top - it might be fine on a thin person.

What a lovely knit garment! It showed up with the tags on and being the first to wear it was a delight. Would have kept it, but I'm not dropping $200+ on a sweater not made from premium wool or silk.

Mixing it up
Blouse will definitely add color is you're trying to dress less borning. The garment itself is very loose, unstructured, and almost flowly. The draping is awkward because elastic was sewn into the neck opening and pulls the fabric up.
