I read a review that it was "roomy in the arms" and actually it's only roomy in the shoulders. The sleeves are so tight that my arms can barely move in it, and the fabric has a tiny bit of stretch but it's not enough. If you do any sports that give you arm muscles beware.

Pretty from a distance but up close the details bug me
I think conceptually this dress is really nice, I have multiple other dresses from different designers in similar scuba fabric and it can work well - it's light, flexible, and breathable, while giving a garment a very nice structured look. But in this case they chose to have completely raw edges on the fabric without using any bias tape or anything else to finish it. While that finishing can make the edge look bulky it just looks more polished to me. The result of leaving the raw edges out here is that this fabric can look slightly raggedy up close because that's the nature of this multi-layered fabric. The dress is not damaged or anything, and I think you can actually get away with doing this on the hem because nobody is looking that close at it (one of my other dresses does this), but the lapels are another story. The smallest imperfections on the lapels really stick out to me personally - maybe they could have solved this by creating the lapels in a completely different fabric.

Love the dress. But... not the armpits.
In general I love MM Lafleur. I love this color, this fabric, the cut and length of the skirt, the collar is absolutely gorgeous. However... all their dresses with the cap sleeves make me feel very self-conscious about my armpits. It's strange because I have no problem with sleeveless dresses or shirts, but this cap-sleeve cut somehow manages to really highlight a chunk of fat right in my armpits. I had to wear a cardigan over it. With an A-line cut it would also be nice to add pockets big enough for a modern cellphone, but this one doesn't have any.

Simultaneously too small and too big!
There is no stretch in this fabric. My hips were too big for it, to the point where I could not walk or sit in it, but my chest was way too small. The odd top has a completely open front that flaps in the breeze if your breasts are too small to fill it. It's basically a giant window to the front of whatever bra I'm wearing, because there is no way I would skip a bra with a giant opening like that.

Comfortable and professional looking, although slightly low-cut.
I needed to wear a cami underneath or safety pin the neckline to my bra for work but it looked really nice. The only thing it's missing are pockets. It's one of the few pocketless dresses I would actually consider keeping forever because it's such a great combination of sleek and comfortable.

Amazing pockets
The waist is very tight and not stretchy at all. I am normally a 6 but found 8 was the right size.

Very comfy and warm
I did not use the belt because I liked how it looked open. This is a little more on the boho side than I usually wear, but I think it works great for some version of a "Stevie Nicks as a corporate boss" look. I got lots of compliments on it.

This is a really sharp dress that is beautifully knitted in one piece along the body of the dress. Very comfortable!

Not being able to walk normally all night was annoying.
I loved the design and colors on this, but the designer did not bother to ensure that women wearing it can do important things like walking and using stairs. The opening at the bottom of the skirt is far too narrow, the fabric is not stretchy, and there is no slit to enable me to walk at my normal stride length so I was taking baby steps all night. It's also not possible for me to lift my leg enough to use any stairs without hiking up the dress a lot. In short, it's a lovely dress but it's a ton of unnecessary work to wear it.
