RTR sent me this dress as a back up, so even though I had no intention of wearing it, I tried it on anyway. Everything was HUGE. The chest area was big, the shoulder straps were too big, and because of that the dress did not work on me. However, the color is beautiful, and perhaps if you have a longer torso, a larger chest and are taller than me, this dress may be perfect for you.

So I tend to have a smaller and shorter torso, and a much larger butt. Although this dress did hug me, it was extremely uncomfortable in all of the wrong places. It was huge in the chest area and tight in the butt area. Also because my torso is somewhat short, the shear panels landed on me very awkwardly and everything just looked wrong on my body. Luckily, I only ordered the dress to try it on before my prom in May, but the material was also very heavy and I knew that I would be sweating up a storm if I wore this in the end of May. Also, the dress was very long, even though I used the recommended sizing according to the sizing guide. Personally, I believe that this dress is for people who look like the model: straight, tall and narrow. Otherwise, it will be a very uncomfortable night.

I ordered the 6 and the 4, but the 6 was too big in the chest area, but the 4 fit like a glove. I also found the zipper on the side to be a bit difficult to maneuver because of the extra fabric on the waistband, but that could've been the dress that I got that had that kind of problem. Please note that the dress is not short - it hit me more or less above the knee, and that was while I was wearing 5inch Jeffrey Campbell heels. But, overall, loved the dress, extremely comfortable and perfect for the occasion.

This dress was everything that I could've hoped for. The fabric was so stretchy and so comfortable - a little tight in the arms but after a while, the arms loosened up and it was perfect. Even though I'm a bit on the shorter side, the dress was not too long and not too short - maybe a few inches above the knee. The fabric itself was beautiful. It has this awesome texture that outlined flowers, which complimented the shoulder cut-outs so perfectly. I received so many compliments throughout the night and would more than definitely recommend this dress!!!

Honestly, this dress was so perfect, and exactly what I wanted. I knew that I had to get this dress because the shape of it goes perfectly with the shape of my body. I usually wear a size 6, but it was big in the chest area, and the size 4 fit absolutely perfectly. However, there was a substantial length difference between the 4 and the 6. The 6 was just above the knee, and the 4 was at least 2-3 inches above my knee. What also is not necessarily shown in the pictures of the model is that its a little shorter in the front, and is gradually longer on the sides and in the back - but I think it makes the dress look even better. Also, there were some ironing issues on the hem of the dress, and so I had to re-iron it, but it wasn't a huge deal. If you are looking for a 50s-retro styled black dress, this is the dress for you!
