Great length for 5'5" with heels. It's pretty difficult to fasten on your own, and I expect that the buttons would grab hair if you wore it down. Also, the little tie thing gets easily bumped out of place, so it will kind of hang down like a collar and cover your little cleavage peak. I have a v small chest, and it was pretty hard to keep my sticky bra from showing, so I didn't mind that the ascot kept things covered, but that wasn't really the look I was going for.
