I'm sort of between a 2 and a 4 and so the 2 fit but the 4 was more comfortable and overall I thought that being a little less tight gave it a better look. The 2 felt much shorter. I wore this to a retirement party for my MIL and it was appropriate for the occasion. It doesn't look like a warm dress so I got away with wearing it on a humid summer night in NYC, but I was definitely feeling the heat and I think the heavy material would make this better for cooler temperatures. My only complaint is minor, which is that the dress arrived with noticeable pilling on both the jersey liner and the outer embroidery and the dry cleaning smell was very strong. You could only see the pilling up close so it wasn't a big enough deal for me to send it back (and I did receive a some compliments throughout the night), but I definitely felt like I was wearing a worn and borrowed dress. I guess maybe that's the tradeoff for renting dresses instead of owning them? Either way, the dress fit and looked great so RTR worked for me but I'm not sure if I would get this one again unless I was notified of new stock or something.

I'm between a 2 and 4 and usually wear a size Small. The small wasn't available but since a few people said this dress ran large I chanced it with the the XS. It was actually pretty flattering. The only caution about the fit would be if you go smaller you have to be more careful about lifting your arms without letting the dress rise up too high. This was also very easy to wear: I didn't need special underwear, I didn't need a jacket, and because of the colors in the dress it was easy to choose between whichever shoes, jewelry, or bag I wanted to wear. I went with simple rose gold earrings and I felt that was enough because of the busy pattern on the dress (I also wore light pink shoes with a light blue clutch), and I received three compliments on it during the event. I would consider renting this one again.
