Wonderful dress! I've worn a few other Elizabeth James dresses--they're the best! This is no exception. Fits snug but not clingy. Fabric is thick enough to lie well and it's wonderfully smooth! The top is a very very pale baby pink that looks a little beige/taupe/off white depending on the lighting. So I wish the color was a bit... More what I wanted and less what it is? But really, nothing to complain about. Loved wearing it! Sad to let it go! Bra wise -- I have to wear a bra (32E/F) and all of them show! With a T-back, it was mostly just at the "side boob" area. But I think you can see the band (it's a relatively thick band) peeking out at the back in this photo. My hair might be covering the bit in the front. Not too much of an issue, but it's something I've gotten used to.

This is a very nice necklace, which I wore with the Slate and Willow half flower studs. They do look more crystal than diamond, but were still lovely and not too heavy overall. The pearls don't always lie right when you first put it on, but it's an easy fix and not too inconvenient.

This dress fit me well and was very comfortable! However, the lacing along the collar was often folded incorrectly. Instead of lying flat against my skin, the scalloping was flipped over and would not lie flat! I adjusted it a few times, but then stopped bothering. If I had noticed before the night, it would have been worth it to lightly steam. When the lace is lying properly it is very pretty and creates a beautiful neckline! That small folly wasn't much, though. It was fairly comfortable and it was nice to get so many compliments! I wore it to a very nice restaurant in SF, where my boyfriend and I have a lavish anniversary dinner. Sitting next to the window in late winter, I was a bit cold but the look was worth it! This dress also seemed to know no boundaries, in terms of who complimented it! Women of all ages seemed to be jealous. It was difficult to decide if I should share RTR, or keep it my beauty secret!

The color of this dress is beautiful, but definitely not a bright red. It's almost like an opaque watermelon jolly rancher - not pink, but soft and bright without blaring. The jewels on the collar didn't look as high quality or elegant in person. The sewing wasn't very subtle and was damaged. It looked like some of the embellishments were missing. I'm usually an 8 but may have lost some weight. The 6 and 8 both fit well, but the 8 was a bit boxy on me so I wore the 6. Once it's on and you're out, the collar isn't really an issue; I got so many compliments! Like other dresses by this designer, the fabric is soft, sturdy and snug so that it feels and looks great! It's thickness also makes sure you're not going to freeze or show too much of your undergarment lining. The vertical seam from my tights probably showed through though. Because my bust is on the large side, I had to wear a bra. I chose a racer back so no straps showed, but there was some side bra! Unfortunate, but the shape was terrible without a bra! With the bra, I felt sexy, gorgeous, slim and elegant! It was a perfect way to subtlety show off at my friend's wedding.

These earrings had a good weight to them without bothering my ears, which are fairly sensitive. The earring back is sort of cone shaped, which I really liked. It really helped make the earrings feel secure while adding an extra bit of gold detailing. Good amount of shine and luster. Doesn't move too much. And looks great! I wore them with an updo and they really popped. I loved wearing these for my five year anniversary dinner and took the opportunity to wear them at casual dinners as well. They will be sorely missed!

I wore this with a crew neck dress so that they overlapped slightly. The chain is fairly long but easily cinched. I tried it with a couple dresses. It was very easy to fit the necklace to each of their necklines! The pattern is very irregular. I didn't really like it at first, but it grew on me and added a nice shine! It was very comfortable, easy to forget about. Hardly ever moved.

As a note-I have somewhat sensitive ears. I don't often wear earrings. While my hair didn't get stuck on them, a usual problem for me, they were fairly heavy! It took a long time for me to get used to the weight. Plus, movement definitely made it hard on my ears. I took them off in the car to give my ears a break. While I did eventually forget about them, my ears were a bit sore at the end of the night. I thought they might be a bit over the top, but I really enjoyed the sparkle they brought to my outfit! The top stone is a little more brown than yellow, and the horizontal one is kind of grey green. I felt the colors were a little different in person. But still nice.

I didn't wear this dress for very long. The length was good and the dress was nice, but it was an extra back up dress. I felt that it might run large because I ordinarily wear an 8 but it was a bit loose, or at least not at all small, on me. As a note--I would probably recommend a strapless bra for this dress. The angle at which the straps come towards the neck is fairly steep. I tried it on with a t-strap bra. Even though the straps are nearly like a halter, they show through a bit. I think the design is too "simple chic" for that.

The fabric is a beautiful knit type of fabric; it's thick and it has a good amount of texture. It was incredibly comfortable and pretty soft. I wore it all day and have no complaints. You can sit and accidentally show a bit of extra leg than you might ordinarily, but it's a quick fix so I think the slit is at a great length. Overall, a great experience! I wore it on my birthday; I spent the day on my feet but wanted to look great doing it. Definitely accomplished! It was easy to feel confident in this dress. It's a fit but thick fabric, so it was very flattering. I was initially apprehensive about the length because I'm fairly short. But it still worked!
